@@__pallavi__ Almost everyone knows him, he's like the Jamie Oliver of Greece. His shoes is called Kitchen Lab, he also has a few restaurants here in Athens. And the funny thing is that he became known because he was the winner of the first ever MasterChef Greece in 2010

Alexander T. Thanks so much! Last question, I promise - if you’re Greek, can you tell me if his recipes are actually what you’d see and make in the average Greek household, especially in the context of the oil and the ingredients used. I’m asking because in my country, most of the celebrity chefs you see use a lot of oil and a ton of ingredients and prepare their dishes, although delicious, in fancy ways you usually wouldn’t see in the average household.
@Liz5144.4 жыл бұрын
Pallavi Rawat he basically has adjusted his recipes so that they can be easy to follow from an average Greek person. Actually most people do his recipes because they are so well explained , with not that many ingredients and always tasteful!

Akis, I agree with those commenting about the ladies voice for this recipe. It is not a pleasant addition to your presentation. My husband agreed. We love your vitality, your accent, your love of food. It’s not important whether or not some think you should pronounce words to their liking, it’s not about putting you in a box. You are doing what you are called of God to do.❤️❤️❤️❤️ Stay who you are and keep the cooking and presentation YOURS alone.😘 No music needed either. It’s distractions from what you are cooking and saying. God Bless and long yrs of health. I cannot eat much of what you cook, because I have cancer, but I am copying recipes and will make them for pleasure later👏💃🏻 We love your attitude and the love you share with us for so much healthier food than shown elsewhere😍😍😍😍

I must admit, this is the best mousakka I have ever made! Delicious! It is the second best I have ever eaten, the best one was in Greece! I have been eating and cooking Mousakka my whole life, Romanians have importend this dish from Greece a few centuries ago, but it changed somehow in our country. I have always liked it, but since I have tasted it in Greece it became a favourite dish of mine. I have searched and searched for a recipe, but this is the one!!! I have always thought it was the meat, it was lamb in Greece when I ate it in a restaurant. But it is the recipe. Thank you! Such a perfect and sexy dish! :))

The authentic Greek moussaka has no zucchini and some claim not even potatoes. The potatoes according to many, were added in restaurants because they were cheaper than eggplants. The zucchini were added in the 1990s by people who felt Moussaka had become boring, (crazy people, how can moussaka be boring) and wanted to innovate. If you do not put potatoes and/or zucchini add more eggplants. It tastes AMAZING no matter how you make it as long as you keep the same Mornay/Bechamel sauce and the classic minced beef recipe.
@tyxeri482 жыл бұрын
For me, as a moussaka purist, zucchinis in the moussaka is a sacrilege, while potatoes damage the texture of the eggplants. Period.
