I would suggest u to go an d visit kutirodyog uphar gruh beside kopinashwar mandir thane west.. Old place but have thalipeeth There..ye sab dikhava hai ye khavvaye ...vada pav koi hotel me khata hai kya? Mr kulkarni runs a vada pav thela near station have vada pav there...even station pe platform pe isse achha vada pav milta hai- Personel openion

OMG!!!!! Not a steamed modak fan at all, but the the way you presented it, had me drooling!!!! Awesome photography! BTW, when the kothimbir wadi came I knew they were ever so slightly over done. Hence that bitter taste you felt. They needed to be out of that fryer 15 seconds earlier.

Your video is creating a nostalgia. Again wonderful after classic and New Yorker . I have visited their outlet many times near 3 petrol pump Thane in 2001~ 2003 . I used to have then something called Gavaran thali / Peshwai thali for dinner. The kothimbir wadi is Maharashtra has more kothimbir less dal compared to Marwari owned Farsan shops in Mumbai. In 80s when Wada pav became vogue in Mumbai there used to be chopped onion always inside.

Looks really tempting. Surely worth a visit. One thing that I can tell you as to why you found the kothimbir vadi so different here than other places because mostly in hotels it's the gram flour that is dominant while in this case like we do typically in Maharashtrian households too is that the coriander would be more dominant. That's why the texture would also feel a little different like what you said and the flavour would be more of dhaniya than besan. Simply love our Maharashtrian cuisine

You are one of the few food bloggers who can pronounce marathi menu items correctly and the way they are meant to sound which gives It a professional and local touch without the unnecessary south Mumbai twist to it. You did make a mistake though by incorrectly pronouncing alu wadi😀 as aalu wadi. some may think it's made of aalu (potato). My two thumbs up. Keep posting. Cheers!!
