Thank you for this authentic nonya recipe! I recall helping my mom make this dish when I was a teenager, but we’ve not had the privilege of enjoying this dish ever since she passed on. I’ll try to make this for this CNY in her memory!

Thanks for sharing. Is it supposed to be so wet? Would the veg give up more water if u sop overnight? Look delicious
@JennLiProductions3 жыл бұрын
As to how much gravy, it’s up to each individual. Some prefer more gravy, some drier. Because the ingredients have been squeezed and dehydrated before mixing, hence it won’t be produce more water even after few days in fridge

Thank you. I am going to make it myself. By the way is there any video on making stuffed pickled chillies. I used to eat it at homemade wedding receptions. Some people say the stuffed insides of the chillies are shredded papayas. What do you call it?

She dont tell the quantity.
@JennLiProductions4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jen, my cooking and ingredients preparations are based on estimations and it’s quite difficult to tell them in exact weight like baking. As long as you get the sauce/gravy right, the ingredients amount are according to your liking, if ingredients are less, you can cook them with less sauce. Even if you cook them with all the sauce, balance sauce can be reused to add new ingredients❤️ Happy cooking
@ringofsolomon2684 жыл бұрын
No need to state quantity also we can agak agak rite. Not that difficult even for a newbie like me 😂😂😂
