Welcome to your favorite Travel and Food Review channel! DarShey GoesTo Som's Noodle House located in Poblacion Makati City. In this video, we are still on a mission to travel for food and taste authentic flavors without leaving the Philippines. We are going to eat the famous and authentic Thai foods prepared by Som's Noodle House.
A typical Thai dish has five flavors and those are sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and of course spicy. Thai foods are not considered authentic unless they combine all five. The seasonings will be spicy for a foreign palate, but Thai food ensures that a balance of all flavors is present.
Som's Noodle House was owned and managed by the Pattamadilok family since 2003 (The original Som's Noodle House). They are formerly located near Alger Street in Makati City. Now, they transferred to another location (Poblacion Makati City) and continuing the legacy of Mr. Pattamadilok (founder of Som's). Apparently, they are available by online ordering.

In case you forgot the names of the Thai foods we ate on the video:
1) Tom Yam Goong or Tom Yum is a type of hot and sour Thai soup, usually cooked with shrimp. Tom yum has its origin in Thailand. The words "tom yam" are derived from two Thai words. Tom refers to the boiling process, while yam means 'mixed'
2) Thai Spring Rolls made with ground pork, matchstick cut carrots, sliced cabbage and thinly sliced onion all wrapped up and fried until golden.
3) Som Tam or Green papaya salad is a spicy salad made from shredded unripe papaya. Originating from ethnic Lao people, it is also eaten throughout Southeast Asia.
4) Pad Thai or phad thai, is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as a street food and at most restaurants in Thailand as part of the country's cuisine. It is typically made with rice noodles, chicken, beef or tofu, peanuts, a scrambled egg, and bean sprouts, among other vegetables.
5) Green Curry Chicken a popular Thai curry that is perfect to be eaten with rice. Everything simmers in creamy coconut milk and Thai green curry paste.
6) Thai Tea is made from strongly brewed Ceylon tea, or a locally grown landrace (traditional or semi-wild) version of Assam known as Bai Miang.
7) Bagoong Rice or Khao Kluk Kapi is traditional Thai fried rice with shrimp paste. Usually served with various sides or toppings like pork in tamarind sauce, green mango and egg.
