First of all, congratulations guys! You all have an authentic style. However, in my opinion, I think pedestrians instead of being amazed and excited about your rollerblading skills they were scared and uncomfortable. I know this is a freeskate video and that is the risky point about freeskate but please be careful and respectful with pedestrians because you are role models and the most important thing, we do not want to be banned to skate in our city. Love from Madrid.

Rollerblade marketing people do not seem to give a flying fuck to your very valid concerns. Hence the blanket statements at the beginning of this clip which seem to be only indented to give Rollerblade an excuse in case they are getting sued by victims of such reckless behaviour by some stupid followers.

Would have been an awesome video if not for acting like a jerk around pedestrians. Scaring them, skating through crowds on high speed or invading personal space just to satisfy your own needs is why a lot of people frown on skaters and skating instead of making them exited and inspired... Please don't be a jerk and use the power of this YT channel (with a lot of followers) to inspire people the right way and the right attitude.

I'm usually a great fan of your videos but I don't think that the fail with hitting a pedestrian should have been highlighted so much, I would cut it out entirely, it doesn't seems cool at all to hit a passer by (also could have been very dangerous to a person that is not trained in falling down like a pro skater, not to mention that in some countries this can actually can be used as a law sue, generally speaking, physical interaction with pedestrians should be avoided).
@Mothgoth17 жыл бұрын
I agree however she didn't even touch him technically.
@jonatanguitar7 жыл бұрын
@Vincent I agree and I think the last thing the inline skating community needs is people getting into skating because "it looks cool to bump into people by accident" etc. Accidents *do* happen, but it would be more constructive to not highlight it as a "cool event" - especially in a video from a company like this. And let's be real, you know the people who thinks skating is a dangerous sport? Those ain't gonna change if we start thinking it's fun to bump into them in public places ;)
@black481537 жыл бұрын
Liam Petersen True, she didnt, guy had a cat reflexes, so no big deal... Now if it was a child/elderly person... You shouldn't do tricks near pedestrains, no matter how good you are, it can always go sideways (all pun intended) ;)
@black481537 жыл бұрын
Jonatan OTW Indeed, I agree with every word, accidents do happen (I fall all the time to be honest and I believe its also natural, whenever I challenge myself doing something new, or that I'm not good enough or maybe just tired...). She didn't really hit him, I was just exaggerating to make a point, and I agree with you entierly, Rollerblade is a huge company, it's like Ferrari making a commercial of a driver "almost hitting" a pedestrian on the sidewalk... Not cool... Its unwise to send a message that's "it's cool to (almost) hit people", in my opinion it will attract the wrong attention to us (rollerbladers as a community)... And a company clip is truely entertaining, but it mostly acts as an advertisment, so it needs to be considered in my opinion... And I freaking love the "rollerblades city explorer" serie, its sincerely one of the most awesome thing I've watched, so I really waited for another meeting of these trio of skaters...
@lebowski_dude7 жыл бұрын
It's totally not cool to hit pedestrians, or even force them to take evasive action. That sort of behaviour is just going to get us banned from pedestrian areas. I wish more skaters would take a leaf out of Bill Stoppard's book - in one of his videos he refers to the 'visceral fear' that someone experiences when a skater passes too close to them at speed. He's always careful to give pedestrians a wide berth and never surprises them from behind. We all want to enjoy our sport but the only way for that to continue is for every skater to be respectful towards pedestrians and road users, even if they aren't always respectful to us.
@Alicecoopper7 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I disagree on reckless skating and i don't understand why helmets are so "uncool" among some inline skaters. I've seen some parts in which they almost run over a pedestrian. That is a lack of respect and common sense
@yumfries56135 жыл бұрын
Yeah, people are having to stop dead in their tracks so they don't get ran into, and even then they still get hit as we can see in the video. Risking your own stuff is fine, but don't bring other people into that risk. If you are moving that fast on a public sidewalk then you need to slow down or go to a different area. Shits unsafe for everyone.

May Adams’s, it has come to my attention that you are a complete jerk without the head space for commonsense. The people in this video were clearly not caring about the pedestrians, just trying to do their own thing without a care in the world about others is reckless. By skating on the streets you put yourself in the way of harm, just like with all sports there is a risk factor involved with everything you do and I totally understand why you would want to take that risk, I would too. Though, what you’re not seeing is past their skills. I see how good they are at skating and they are amazing and everything, but they clearly can’t think about how other are impacted by their actions, much like you. Also from your language we can ALL see how ignorant and selfish you are, especially with your choice of language I could mistake you for a 6 year old. So check yourself before you come for someone else. Also I did notice this is video and your comment were made a long time ago, but not one replied to straighten up your idiocy so I thought I’d do it myself.
