I feel like that’s just an effect of live conversation. If anyone COULD quote someone’s EXACT words off the top of their heads I’d honestly be kinda concerned. Like holy shit. Exact quotations are for essays or prepared speeches where you can easily just google what someone said and copy paste it. Someone quoting someone else just off the top of their head sounds like some weird obsession shit to me.

@@carlcarlington7317 If you can't prove that someone is spreading misinformation/hate, than you have no credibility to make the claim. If you claim that someone is spreading misinformation you need to be able to prove it with quotes and evidence. If you're only saying it because someone else said it, you have no way of knowing that what you say is true. And if what you're repeating is false, then you are spreading misinformation. All I'm saying is accuracy is important in today's age of cancel culture.

@@ReverseProof Ah yes. The usual normie rightwing critic of socialism. "Socialism is when government takes your money and does stuff" "Nothing is free and socialism wants everything free, therefore socialism doesn't work." There are plenty of good criticisms of socialism, but these kinds of arguments make anti-socialists look like jokes. I suggest you actually learn what socialism is before further embarrassing yourself. Anyway, since you are so against "free stuff", then we shouldn't have public services and infrastructure like the police, military, roads, public transport, public cleaners, environment caretakers, etc. Who cares about keeping roads on driving conditions. Let companies build sturdier cars that can run on bumpy roads instead. And what about fire accidents? Just let your house burn unless you are subscribed to a private firefighting company. What if someone robs you? Nobody should help you unless you pay them. And lastly, socialism is amoral. It's neither good nor bad like most economic or political systems. The fact that you think supporting socialism makes you "not ok" proves how brainwashed you are. You are no different than the communists who thinks every CEO is evil, and you aren't even aware of your hypocrisy.

Your response to the criticism against both you and Chappelle have meant so much to me. I recently went through a similar thing on a smaller scale. I am a comedian in NC with about 6 years of experience. I built up one of the most successful open mic comedy shows anywhere in NC to the point where touring comedians would pop in occasionally when they are in town. One thing I did during my open mics as host was come up with call back jokes on something an open mic comic said. The audience loved it and there were nights where I got bigger laughs from that than my set that I opened the show with. A local group of mostly female LGBTQ comics complained about jokes that I made onstage about other comedians even if it was a call back to a joke they said to the point where they convinced the owner of the local establishment that I was this horrible misogynistic guy who was sexually harassing women. I am out at that venue and am starting up new shows and have a lot of support from local comedians who completely have my full support. I also have audience members who have quit going to the old location and have come out to my new spot but it’s still frustrating knowing that I had as many as 75 - 85 people coming out for an open mic that I ran for almost 5 years and now I’m starting over while this Eyes Up Here group inherits that show when they have never been able to put together a show that more than 15 or 20 people show up to. Thanks, Joe, for supporting and fighting for comedians to be able to speak freely onstage when all they are doing is trying to make people laugh.

He rivals when Adam Conover was on and used "Right" 752 times...... Filler words, it's astounding people don't hear themselves sometimes and reel it in.

Focus on what he's saying (the substance) and not the form (nervous tics etc). Ben is a very smart and insightful guy with valuable insights. Having heard him speak many times, I suspect that he was nervous appearing on Rogan, hence the "likes." Cut the guy some slack. Focus on the ideas.

My number one takeaway from this episode: Math is the enemy of socialism. ...and Joe still doesn't understand the Fire Department is not a socialist organization, it is a capital preservation organization. Literally not socialist.

If people owned houses instead of a mortgage financed by monopolistic banks, if businesses owned buildings instead of leasing from real estate barons, would we be guaranteed fire departments? Or would we have to fight for fire departments like we have to fight for healthcare and tuition costs and teacher salaries?

@@Fake_Robot Exactly it, insurance and protection of the property is the ONLY reason taxpayer-funded fire departments are a thing. To this day in the USA if you go outside the cities there are few if any salaried firefighters, nearly all are 'volunteer' departments that exist just to meet the basics for insurance companies to write policies in the area. And up until about 120 or so years ago, you DID have to pay a retainer to get fire services in a city and even now you are charged for fire department calls if you own the property.
