Cause he's half full of it...not all, but he glosses over quite a bit that Dulles did great for the country, the man was definitely not a Saint though, but not an evil man as his book shows, Soviet propaganda...well he gives a pass to many dangerous characters or down plays their deeds, Che for instance and Castro. Castro was going to launch nuclear missiles at the US, thank God the Russians had the key. He's a partisan hack period.

Theres still people alive likely involved with it today. They need to make sure they all pass away so whatever story they create can somehow have them being the good guys. To be honest, if they told the truth. Most people would demand real change in the government. This is something they cannot have, as you work for them. They don't work for you. They need to keep up the illusion making you think your candidates work for you and not more powerful people who secretly run the country.

The irony that any proponent of democracy could believe that democracy is too important to trust to the people is so painful it hurts just to think about it.
@hollybigelow5337

Also, as a side note I'm reading a book called "The Secret War Against the Jews: How Western Espionage Betrayed the Jewish People," that confirms a lot of these stories from additional sources. It also explains how the government legally spies on its citizens without a warrant. Basically, the 4th Amendment only applies to US citizens. Our spies are allowed to spy on non-US citizens to their heart's content. UK citizens are protected by UK laws, but US citizens are not protected under those laws. Basically, UK agents spy on US citizens and then give those reports to US agents. In return, US agents spy on UK agents and then give UK agents those reports. There is a certain genius to this plan. Honestly, if any of these cases went to court, chances are the practices would still be ruled unconstitutional, so government agents work overtime making sure none of these cases make it to court from what I have heard.

Except, of course, that the people to whom he ascribes the desire to be proponents of democracy were nothing like it. Using the word democracy does not indicate a genuine belief in it. The idea that the Dulles brothers were even remotely interested in democracy is clearly bases on nothing. Given what Talbot knows of these people, I find that very difficult to reconcile. I don't have the answers, of course.
@hollybigelow5337

@@staninjapan07 Oh, I don’t for a second believe the Dulles brothers were ever genuinely interested in democracy, and I certainly don’t believe that just because someone pays lip service to democracy that it automatically means they believe in it. But there’s something extra painful about the concept of trying to argue that democracy is too important to trust to the people. How could anyone ever have even come up with that sentence? I’m trying to think of an equally moronic sentence to say, but I’m really struggling to come up with something because it is in a class of its own. Maybe choice is too precious for me to let you decide if you want to have it? Anyone who says the believe democracy is too important to trust to the people just in speaking that sentence has proven they a) don’t even understand democracy, and b) don’t believe in democracy. It is such a revealing statement, I can only think it would be made by either an extreme idiot or by someone who thinks their listener is an extreme idiot.

Final remark in this video: "We didn't crush the Nazi regime (as FDR wanted to) as much as we (re)purposed it". Symbolism being a reflection of reality, we can say that the spirit of the German/Nazi Eagle on their flag shifted to America after WW2 and became "resident evil", as the Great American Seal very clearly shows.

I've been happening similar thoughts to this recently after studying our history & looking at the world around us today. I thought to myself, "Hitler died, but facism didn't lose WW2... it shed its skin & took on a new life in the U.S." Talbot -- whose book I would love to read -- seems to echo these impressions (and can add TONS more evidence & documentation than I ever could).

Normally, I'd agree. However, the time allotted in this interview was short and brief, and to bring out the massive coverage of Dulles's activities during his CIA career, plus the fact he, and his brother, John Foster Dulles, Secretary of State in Eisenhower's Administration, were attornies of Wall Street's Law firm Sullivan and Cromwell, is noted too and to that degree. That in itself, opens the door to speculation and further study, plus, can be a source of argument as a conflict of interest due to the Dulles brother's power within government institutions, thus required the host to guide Mr. Talbott through the maze to highlight much of Talbott's expose' in his work. Personally, I felt the host was not embellishing his credentials as an effort to elevate his stature over Talbott per se,' but to use his talent, based on what of Mr. Talbott's discoveries and investigation, to embellish Talbott's work. So much was, and is, needed to be conveyed to a public audience (public jury) to explore government intrusions based on a somewhat fascist arrangement with Wall Street. The legal questions should be discussed accordingly after the facts are presented to get a better analysis of the academic prowess of Talbott's nature, and he knew so much needed to be addressed under the strict time of the interview. I've gotten Mr. Talbott's book, "The Devil's Chessboard" and it is exceptional with facts gleaned and presented in such a fine manner. That is why Mr. Talbott's expose is considered outstanding among his peers and critical thinking members of society. But, I understand your frustration.

Thank you again Mr. Talbot for your research and revelations and your courage. Yes, courage, because your reporting shakes the foundation and pillars of the majority of most Americans. While most Americans don’t believe Oswald was the lone assassin or the assassin at all, I don’t think they are aware that in the 50’s who was running foreign policy, economic policy and financial markets. Americans would not want to believe that Jack Kennedy was surrounded by agency heads CIA, FBI, the State Department, at least two of the four Joint Chiefs, who were insubordinate and establishing their agendas. Averill Harriman should have been executed before the Rosenberg, but no American would know of his action. They would only know of him and his swanky wife from the Style section of the Washington Post. When Kennedy didn’t provide what the CIA wanted at the Bay of Pigs it set their hair on fire. And when he denied the same hawks a military attack on Cuba during that crisis, and his speech at American U, those events sealed his fate; but who believe, i bet JFK wouldn’t have even believed his fellow Americans no matter how ideologically opposed would murder one of their own. He was wise enough to know that he had to conduct diplomacy in a clandestine manner. I can’t imagine being the President and you literally cannot trust anyone in all these crucial arenas. The ironic thing about the CIA, they were inept at what they were suppose to be doing. The Soviet’s and East Germans ran circles around them. But the CIA was very accomplished in subverting the American government and many nations attempting self government after years of empirical rule..that’s all for me. Sorry to bend your ear.
@carlmack2188
@carlmack2188 7 ай бұрын
Another thought; so Kennedy was a young man surrounded by these old cronies who were in on who is really running things and it was a foregone conclusion in their minds that Kennedy would acquiesce to their direction, real talk they would bully him if needed. When the “missiles of October” went down, Taylor et al wanted to do a preemptive strike on the Soviet Union. Kennedy had to pull together all fibers of clear thinking, morality, and courage to go against the men who felt their lifetime occupation was to defend the US. I don’t think Nixon would have held up against them. If left to our military leaders the world would have imploded, so thank goodness, though alone on an island, Kennedy had the guts to follow his keen thinking and instincts.

Also, there were two Oswalds and also, the Mossad of Israel were involved in getting snipers from the Corsican Mafia in position in Dealey Plaza, a scheme that was largely the work of Bill Harvey, Angleton's associate at CIA. After the assassination, Israel was able to keep American support AND build nuclear weapons. They were going to build nuclear weapons anyway, but killing Kennedy meant that they, Israel, were able to complete their development of nuclear weapons and also keep American support. The Israelis were convinced that Kennedy was going to send in paratroopers to take over and shut down the Dimona Nuclear Reactor Facility in the Negev Desert. Not kidding. M
