Why doesn’t Scientologist recognize the hole when they go to California compound
@antmagor2 жыл бұрын
@@kidwave1 well it’s an interesting situation. And it’s threefold. So the Supreme Court ruled in 1980 that Scientology was not a religion because their services were a quid pro quo, that the money parishioners were giving could not count as donations because they were required to give it in exchange for services, and the services are required. In other words there’s no way to be a Scientologist without giving up large sums of money. That was the Supreme Court of 1980s ruling, and the ruling has not been reversed it is a standing ruling. So how did Scientology get their status. This comes to point number two, they got it by suing individual employees of the IRS. These were frivolous lawsuits however they managed to get at least 300 of their parishioners to sue the IRS on mass. In the 90s the IRS finally settled with Scientology that they would drop all of their suits in exchange for the tax exempt status. Now the third and final point is regarding the FBI. After what happened at Waco and ruby ridge the FBI has been severely reluctant to perform any kind of raid not just on Scientology but cults in general. Some of it I’m sure is PR related, some of it is legal pretext, and a host of other reasons. Another being infiltration, congressman Bono was pretty much the only politician they ever elected federally but they do court a lot of politicians. Some Democrats, a lot of Republicans. I wouldn’t call them a partisan organization as they side with whomever they think is in their best interest, but by majority they tend to prefer Republican candidates. Anyway in a nutshell that’s the reason why Scientology and other cult networks are able to thrive.

It's funny that Monique Yingling said Mike Rinder gets paid. Funny thing is she gets paid to defend the church and do their taxes. Something she won't say they are worth in this story.

I doubt the fall of Scientology would rebuild any faith in the DOJ, their credibility among the public is nearly as low as mainstream news media's. But they just need a W very badly, and this would be a layup.

20k is still a lot of money but the problem is that they often make people redo levels and Pat again or keep people from moving up. And they still expect people to give donations so they pressure them to take out loans. Not to mention enlightenment is never reached.

Listen to what the lawyer says: “on the training route“ this is the beginner course. This is not the path to enlightenment. To get there (OT 3-8) will cost you millions.
@TicTocRobotSnot Жыл бұрын
“There is no such thing as the hole“ the lawyer can say that because they got rid of it as soon as it was publicly reported. And since Scientology didn’t officially call it the hole, she can get away with saying these half truths.

The lawyer for scientology who claims to be a Catholic is hilarious in how she frames things in the most favorable light for the church, negating objective reality
