Loved the book, loved the movie and totally loved the play “ The Life of Pi “ which is still playing in London. Totally was amazed with the play. My wife was in tears when Richard Parker comes on stage.

Thank you for birthing this beautiful story & much gratitude to Ang Lee for visualising the words into poetry. Thank you Lord for bringing them together to make a movie!

The interviewer interrupts him to ask more questions before the author has time to finish answering the first question. So annoying.

thats crazy that he talks about re-reading it. I just finished watching the movie and instinctively i had to ask more about the film and the book...... crazy. I think it does well with creating questions for individuals to think about.

"dry yeastless factuality". a very beautiful way to cover up ignorance. actually if you were to know how the universe functions it paints a much clearer and much more interesting story. the aeons that our worlds have passed through, the complete uncertainty in evolution just makes everything seem so much more amazing in a sense.

The beginning and ending of this novel are steaming cables of feces laid on the face of an intelligent reader, Mr. Martel. They're just as insulting as the ending of Crime and Punishment, which is hot garbage compared to the rest of that genuinely nail biting novel, or the incredibly pathetic character of the monk brother in The Brothers Karamazov, which makes Christianity look every bit as stupid as it is, despite Dostoevsky's best intentions.

Faith in faith, believing in something even though you know it isn't true. What a shit idea. And reality is still the same regardless of how people interpret it: otherwise what you have is an argument for solipsism.
