From California Your work in fighting scams is invaluable. I was scammed twice last year, totaling losses over $120,000. It was a lengthy process involving federal intervention to get her money back. How Scammers work: 1. They copy links from Relator, Zillow, etc. and place a fake listing on FB market place or Craigslist 2. They only show pictures (may not list address) 3. They only list a phone number (not a Name or Property owner, they also don't share location) 4. They show a "too good to be true" property, tell you to place a hold directly on the property right away without even showing you an Open House or meeting up in person
