Oh, heck yeah! I'm a Web content producer/editor for a government agency and this is going to make my work _SO_ much easier! Thank you, Michael. Great review!

Nice review. But I didn’t see anything that PWA doesn’t already do. If you use the Consistency check in PWA, it catches all those errors. My goto checks in PWA for fiction are Style, Consistency, Dialogue, Readability, and Grammar. I go through them separately. Also, PWA integrates so well with Scrivener, and I have a Mac without MS Word.😱 I didn’t see enough to make me want to switch.

Michael, Do you know of any editing programs that actually SUGGEST missing punctuation? For example: the suggestion of using a semi-colon here, the correct use of an ellipsis there? Thanks

No unfortunately. It’s more of a judgment call and the technology isn’t there yet.

Is it available in more languages than english? I am writing my book in my native tongue of swedish, altho I will eventually make an english translation. Also, does it work with Scrivener?
@AuthorLevelUp3 жыл бұрын
No, it only works with Word. The primary language is English, but take a look at their page that discusses language support: intelligentediting.com/support/faqs/does-perfectit-work-with-languages-other-than-english/

Would be useful to run Grammarly on the same chapter and compare.

When I tried the download for Windows, it downloaded setup.exe.png -- instead of an installer. (7/22)

Yo based mainly on the Stephen king little compliment maybe you can help. I'm smart *deflates head a little for doors* I was also street homeless for almost 5 years. However I'm a speed head "not Ice like in the USA but sulphate, which makes me scatty and my thoughts become messy and the loss in direction sends my writing to what you might call a tangent. I'm a believer in the concept of solving world hunger from another angle is selling almost 8 billion meals 3 times a day. Being a drug-addicted tramp for so many years I know I have accumulated the knowledge to end homelessness (I'm 100% sure I have the angle needed to at minimum end it in the UK for reasons involving Brexit) however can you see yet I've lost my thoughts. Is there any way I can "make my mind bend that way" or anywhere I can get someone trustworthy with some discipline to basically go 50/50 with? Context I was the youngest consulting structural draughtsman in the UK at 18 was 5 Xmas days a tramp and went sober long enough to get off of the streets using my own strength. A couple of months in a flat however I'm basically gonna end up topping myself due to loss of direction (sorry that's a factual statement with no wANT FOR AN EMOTIONAL response I just want to help a good person while making a legacy for my daughter gaining some purpose/direction in my life and make a comfortable lifestyle so I can maybe help humanity a little. Reply or don't there are some people I see watch I make this offer too and get nowhere with it and I just feel you have a good nature \and a really likeable way about you for some reason. Peace and l9ove my brother, seriously sick jealous of the charismatic way you explain things, killing it!

Thank you for a very useful video. But, oh, please don't fix ALL of those "barbed wires"! If the phrase is being used before a noun, as a compound adjective, then yes, hyphenate it. If it's barbed wire on its own, then don't. So, for example: "The barbed-wire fence was broken," but "He picked up the roll of barbed wire and walked to the fence post." I'm a bit disappointed that PerfectIT doesn't see the difference.

While I hate the subscription model, I understand it is a necessary evil because it pumps regular flows of money into companies so they can continue to develop their products. I still think for each major iteration of software there should be a "buy it once" option as in Microsoft Office, but hey. Can't win every battle.
