I graduated from a college-prep high school in 2012, and I just graduated from college this year with a history degree. I went to a local community college on a few scholarships, and I had many ups and downs. I had to change my major once, I flunked math three times, and my father died suddenly one year before I graduated. But with all of that, I managed to finish school and prove wrong those who doubted me in the past. I'm now just taking things day by day, taking care of my house, and doing my hobbies.

Congratulations!! I graduated high school a few weeks ago, and I can assure anyone that going to the graduation the year before is really helpful. I've helped with the music during and after the ceremony a few years now and it really helped me to know exactly what would happen when, how we had to sit and just generally how to behave during the ceremony.

Congrats on your graduation, man! I, too, happened to graduate from my university this year and even I'm surprised at how well the whole thing went! For one, I initially went through school a year younger than most people in my grade -- mainly because I started going to public school so late (sixth grade at age 11). I even decided I wanted to go to college right after high school graduation (age 17), no waiting, no taking years off. I, however, am unique in the sense that I never needed a real diagnosis and am just quirky enough to appear and function normally in a school environment. Although it was stressful finishing up college, I am proud to have managed it so easily and have accomplished so much at such a young age (21). Hope you enjoyed my story and wish you the best!

I didn't go to my graduation. Too confusing and I couldn't cope with crowds at the time. Also I had no friends from university. I would have been on my own.

Yay congrats on the graduation! That is a wonderful accomplishment. My husband has one more class and then he will graduate with his mechanical engineering degree. We are counting the days now. Here where we live you can opt to have your diploma mailed to you and not walk the stage, which is what he wants to do because of all the reasons you listed here in your video. Maybe seeing this will make him see it differently. After all these years of waiting, I would love to see him get to walk the stage at a real graduation.

Congrats! I think I might have Asperger's Syndrome too. I'm 19 and I need some more years to graduate. Now, I'm finishing my first year of studying computer science and I like it so far.

I'm about to start my penultimate year of high school and it's so scary because I'm gonna have to do all my uni applications and work experience and everything. I'm not ready to do this grown up stuff by myself - I'm absolutely terrified!

I decided not to show up at my graduation because I had other things going on and the likelihood of me seeing someone I know would be rather slim anyway. Plus, the ceremony starts kind of early (between 7 or 8 am) for photos and other things leading up to the actual ceremony. I didn't want to spend a little over three hours on campus (possibly in heels), especially when I'm not required to attend in order to obtain my diploma. All diplomas from my university are sent through mail way before the ceremony date. Since the school I attended is fairly large, graduations are divided by the general majors/colleges and occur on different areas on campus. If I vaguely recall, since this is university I'm talking about, names won't be called and it will just be a general announcement addressing the graduates. And that's the nice thing about college. Being able to opt out of it without pressure is really nice.

Congratulations. Having to pee was my major concern at my graduation. Maybe a satirical video should be made about schemes to rig up pee bottles which could be hidden under the gowns during long graduation cerimonies. When you are asked now that you have graduated what do you plan to do? You can say you want to develop better urine capturing gels and devices so people can get through graduation ceremonies with less pain and accidents.

Can you plz make a video about AUTIMS AND COLLEGE?? What tips helped you in college? I started college and it’s really hard. I actually loved school. I found ways to cope and make it work, but I have no idea where to do in college. It’s just so different. I’ve been having a lot of panic attacks lately.

Do you ever get angry when hearing too many voices at once. I usually get very angry when people talk to me too much and even if one or two people talk to me i feel overwhelmed. How did you cope when you were in school/college Congradulations on graduating by the way.

hufflecat_ san I hate that so much. I think what you should try to do is remind people politely to speak one at a time. They'll most likely understand.

How do you feel about "therapy" dogs I have a dog but she isn't a trained therapy dog but she helps me out when I have just done to much or when I'm sick or she helps me out when I'm hurt like one time I was taking her outside and she jumped over this stack of branches and I fell onto the stack of branches dropped the leach and she would usually run away but I was hurt and she came over to me and stared to lick me and I ended up with another scar on my knee p.s. sorry for the bad English

Weighted blankets can help. And the temperature can be a factor, maybe see if its too hot or too in the room, or see if they like sleeping with a heat pack. thats what helped me
