Night time used to be so hard when they were younger… now I have a 7,9 and 11 year old. The big two brush their own teeth and dress themselves and all I have to worry about is Emme. It’s not as loud anymore. All of the kids just chill all night and we all go to bed at 9pm… it’s a nice routine now.

New subscriber here. What an awesome mum and dad you guys are. I work in the field of Disability specifically with adults on the spectrum. My dog Lola, a Tibetan Spaniel is in her final term of Therapy Dog Training as she is a gorgeous little girl who senses peoples emotions and is calming without being suffocating. She will just lay beside with a paw casually placed on my kids, who are all adults and for the most part neurotypical but have trauma and CPTSD. You guys are awesome and real your kids are lucky to have you xx

Our evenings are similar even with one child. Jackson is very hyper and loud from about 5-8. He stims a lot like Jazzy was. Running back and forth and repeating sounds, words, or talking very loud and fast about his favorite video game characters. When he was younger he would also climb up on the couch and jump down repeatedly or spin circles a lot but he doesn’t do those as much now at age 8.

It's so funny because I literally just watched the screaming video you shared two years ago and I was so hopeful since Jacob wasn't screaming anymore lol. My son is 4 and is so much like Jacob was at 4.

Saxxon eats at 4:30-5pm, bath at 5:30, sits and watches tablet or TV with me until 6:25, ring his dad to say goodnight, then generally asleep between 6:30 to 7pm. I get my dinner and go to bed. There is no housework after Saxxon is in bed. It's my time. Sleep around 9:30.

Zac comes home from school at 4pm. He has a snack and regulates by watching Daniel Tiger on his tablet and swinging in the playroom. On Mondays he has OT and speech after school. Then we have dinner around 6 pm. He will eat organic hot dogs or gluten free chicken nuggets while the rest of us eat what I cook. I give him his evening medication and then we head upstairs for bath. My husband bathes Zac while I bathe Alice. Then we get them in their PJ's and into bed. They both get a little screen time before bed and we give Zac melatonin around 7:30 pm. Zac will either fall asleep on his on own or if by 8:30 he's not asleep my husband will go in and sit with him until he falls asleep. Thanks for sharing your evening routine with us!

Just wondering if you have taken Jacob to a Naturopath. My son had the same what we called his bunny nose. He had been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome(there were other things that brought the drs to this diagnosis)and I didn’t think they were right. A friend suggested a naturopath and I am so glad we went. We remove a number of things from his diet(I thought the exam was a joke!) in less that 10 day all his symptoms not only his bunny nose were gone. We kept him on the diet for about a year and then started reintroducing things. He has been clear from the ticks since. This was when he was about 7-8 and he is 26 now.

Music therapy did nothing for my son. I ended up finding CD Roms that he could listen to with headphones and eventually would bounce a ball to the music. Being around all the people and not knowing the songs they sang was just not therapy.

Jacob does music therapy on his own, not sure if this may help your son. But glad you found an alternative!

Is Jazz autistic as well? I know you mentioned it in a video but idk if I saw the answer. You mentioned her masking though.

We aren't sure just yet, we see autistic traits as well as neurotypical traits!

Maybe Jazz should be evaluated also, just for peace of mind.
