Yes, it does exist. We partnered with Visit Myrtle Beach www.visitmyrtl... to show you the most autism friendly city we've ever been to! Restaurants, hotels, and tons of family friendly and autism friendly activities with accommodations tailored specifically for people on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing disorder. This has been an AWESOME trip so far!

@@suz1017 She said you guys need something like this for all disabilities and it would make her life easier with her wheelchair. I’m assuming she meant something like the card they handed the hosts at restaurants that lets them know they may need to make accommodations, etc. Looking at Abbie, I wouldn’t just assume she has a disability, but if I saw someone in a wheelchair, it’s pretty obvious that they are likely going to need accommodations made.

I can see why Abbey is so close to her brother. You can see the love he has for her.. My grandson would love his jokes. He too is ASD but verbal and the love he has for his uncle is amazing.

Abbie is like that, i've been watching their videos for like 4, 6 years, Abbie changed a lot, she needs few minutes in a new places and if it's inside she needs to get used to the ceiling she has hard a hard time with different ceilings ..

I've been watching your family for a while and am always amazed at the lengths you go for Abbie's happiness and comfort. But this is a whole new level. Seeing a whole community come together and be so inviting and warm. I cant imagine the relief you must have felt as a family knowing you were in an environment where there were fewer eyes and less explaining you had to do. the man at the restaurant "i know a celebrity when i see one". How commendable for a community to be so aware.

You are so very fortunate that autism is a widely championed disability. If only we could get there with mental illnesses. My son has bipolar, and he receives so few resources-even though I’ve fought for this for years. The bias is brutal.

Man, I have epilepsy and some of these accommodations would be a game changer for me. There are many activities I can't do with my family because of the strobe lights and inability to exit when needed. Recently I watched Disney's new release of their fireworks show and made the realization that it will now be impossible for me to see them. I have been so sad. So seeing this video less than a week later is really encouraging. Not everyone has forgotten us.

We took my great nephew to Myrtle Beach last spring break and had the best time. He wandered off at the resort and security was on it in a second and got him back to us. They were so kind and patient. We planned on going back this year but have an illness in the family and have to put it off this year but we'll be back. Shout out to Wyndham :)

My son moved there in September 2021. We helped move him down there and I’ve been to visit and stayed at the state park right there in Myrtle Beach. Super nice day park just walked down to the beach. It is very family friendly!

I love Myrtle Beach and it makes me happy to see such a sensory friendly environment.... we're going there at the end of April to the Air Supply concert my mom is 73 and I can tell you it's definitely making her year!!!! I grew up going to Myrtle Beach with my grandparents we would just take off in the middle of the night randomly and just go because that's the kind of people they were they were amazing I live in North Carolina in the Foothills near Lake Lure Chimney Rock I love your channel I love your family you guys are amazing have an amazing time!!!!

I suffer from chronic migraine. I would love to be able to go to an aquarium with low lights and no moving graphics. That said, I have many other activities that I am able to do. Many more than people with various degrees of autism. I applaud Myrtle Beach for making families like Abby's welcome. I particularly like the card where there is no need to constantly explain condition.

That's so awesome! i vacationed in myrtle beach every year growing up. i've been to that aquarium so many times and have done basically every putt putt (which you know is a lol) I had no idea about the CAN card. I'm from VA but my dad retired to Pawley's Island.

We're currently staying at North Beach Resort & Villas in North Myrtle Beach with my nephew that's 21 with nonverbal autism. It's the hotel that's modeled after Atlantis. The hot tubs here have been a huge hit with him.
