They have grown to be open but honestly it’s up to you to be involved/forward with understanding their lives and feelings. Please let me me emphasize“THEIR” interests. If you never bond with them on what they are into/probably obsessed with you will never understand them as a person. I believe relationships are about patience and accountability, but hearing/listening/consideration is most important! Love is patient and kind it does not envy nor boast. Everyone deserves love especially those who give it in all ways without even understanding its full weight, they just have integrity to the highest degree! They deserve to be protected and are respected members of our community/society that people take for granted!

NO. I don’t want to be rude, but please never say that again. (Keep in mind with everything that I am about to say, that I have autism.) Saying these types of disabilities are “superpowers,” or what I often see, “different abilities,” is a really bad way of looking at it. Saying they are superpowers implies they are helpful, and for most people with ASD or other kinds of disabilities, it is most certainly not. Can they help excel in certain things like logic and maturity? Yeah. I for one have an improved sense of logic and reasoning due to this, but the downsides weigh down the upsides tenfold. Its very hurtful to tell others that these types of disabilities are good, as it hurts people’s perception of it, and undermines the actual problems. I’m so happy that you can accept your cousin, and that you speak of him so highly, but please don’t speak about how it affects people. The affected group will explain it. Thank you for reading this ❤

Straight FACTS! I’m the same as you my friend. AuDHD. What do you find typically for interests. I don’t typically come across people that have the AuDHD side. Almost feels like you can’t relate to autistic people but understand them totally and then you can’t relate to people with ADHD because you need that seclusion(introversion for thought) but then you find somebody then just immediately hit it off when it’s combined. Just like perfect harmony.
@medianoche323 күн бұрын
@trapabar19 Right?!? It's like being a weird hybrid that people don't think properly exists. It feels like it all depends on what part of the brain is feeling most motivated at the time; which in turn makes you question your diagnosis. Until you're talking to a muggle and they're like "Oh no you're definitely xyz". My consistent interests are video games and books. Mostly FPS and RPG, though Minecraft is a wonderful escape where it feels like i have control and my diagnosis doesn't exist. My when the mood strikes interests are leatherwork, soap making, tattooing, coin magic and sewing though. I can't even count the hours I spent learning them. What about you?

I dont appreciate this portrail by this comedian , my daughter is not a cat or dog. She is a person with feelings & emotions Maybe I am very sensitive , my daughter and countless millions of special people need love & support. Every day is a challenge. They are brave in heart but also vulnerable. They face challenges every day . Please be kind & respectful to our special people in our communities. Signed by a loving ❤️ father .

No im not skittish excessively I just refuse to listen to commands even though i can hear someone and what they are saying But i can't look them in the eye because it's distracting to me I would rather not have to process listening, consistent eye contact, and then responding Which can be especially difficult if i am intimidated by the person i am talking to

I used to have a cousin who had Down syndrome and she loved Mexican wrestling. She would be so excited to show us her collections and stuff it was hella fun.
