I'd be honored to have a friend like Tyler growing up. I don't have anyone with autism in my family, but I find these videos so insightful. And, there are truths in these videos that are good for anyone.

Hi Tyler 😊 I just started reading your book, ‘Population: One’. My son is 6.5 years old and also has Autism. Did you and your family find potty training challenging? Our son is still not able to get out of diapers and it’s starting to be more noticed by his peers. We are worried about this negatively affecting him with bullying. He has grown up with OT and other therapy since 18 months old but no one has been able to help with toileting. We’re just curious, from your perspective, why is toileting so hard for many people with Autism?

My 7 year old grandson is starting to run away. His parents have changed locks and made their house more secure. What do think is happening to him , what is he thinking?

That's a tough one Carmen. The best way to find out would be to try and talk to him in the way that he finds most comfortable. Kids don't try to run away for no reason, and people with autism have the same emotions as everyone else. Ask him what's wrong, and work together to try and fix it. We wish you and your family the best. 🙂
