We have a very happy Autistic Cyclist in our midst. Matthew has taken part in bike ability in school this week and according to him he can now ride a bike. This is a great achievement for him and we're very proud of him. We've found pushing the twins to do something because we want them too has never worked hence why he's not had a bike before but he wanted to do it and he has done it all off his own back. We will always support whatever they want to do and push when we have to but essentially they have to make choices and as a dad I'm super proud this week. Thanks for watching guys Adam and the gang.

Learning to ride a bike is one of those 'rights of passage' times in our lives isn't it? I bet we can all remember thinking 'I'll NEVER be able to do this'. And the first time we didn't headbutt the pavement. Well done Matthew, good lad.

It took until I was 15 to learn so I had to walk behind my friends on a bike until I almost started driving. We had a summer program called PEAC it took me 2-3 years to really learn.

Eden just did bikability too but she hasn't moved on to peddling yet , she is "gliding" on the ones without peddles now which is a start. She just can't figure out that momentum to get the peddle over the top
