Auto dosing ferts for my freshwater aquarium

So I replaced the tank with a new one, that's exactly the same.. just without the patched up holes. Im a nightmare I know. It cost me a lot of time and money and effort, but it was worth it in the end.
Now that the tank is staying put, I have added some new plants and set up an auto dosing machine that will auto dose TNC Lite. Links below.

Great video and nice setup, I've just switched to the tnc lite as I was using the complete and getting brown algae on my plants, thinking of getting a dose too, so your video explains alot, so cheers for that, I've subbed and liked so I can see your updates 👍

Haha nice! Yeah I wouldn’t dose manually when you can spend £40 on an auto doser, daily dosing is better than weekly too.

Kierans Fish yeah, I dose daily, about 160ml per day for my 10ft planted. Take a look on my channel. But I may actually do more frequent, smaller doses, like throughout the day during the lighting period, so like 20ml, every 2 hours, for 8 hours, starting 2 hours before lights on, and last one 2 hours before lights off

What substrate are you using? I see the black sand, but do you mix anything with it for the plants? I’m wanting to start a planted freshwater tank and was thinking I’d use a mix of Fluval stratum and black sand, but I don’t know how that will turn out aesthetically. Thanks!

I don’t but it’s probably a good idea I thought about doing it myself. I just use black sand with loads of root tabs

Did the Dwarf Sage carpet well in the end? I know this would have probably took a long time but they are super easy as I've had quite a bit of experience with them. I just set up my new aquascape in an ADA Cube Garden 45P and am looking to autodose, it's £49.99 on Amazon, I've spent a lot anyway so what the hell haha!

I always thought it was best to dose ferts just before the lights came on.

For injected co2 yeah, but for ferts it doesn’t matter too much

What do you think about miracle grow plant food on a doser? Or lets say I dosed a little each day out of a syringe. How would I find out how many mls to dose each day? Different question. If I dosed to much of what you are dosing would it cause the plants to die and the animals in the fish tank or if there were no animals would it cause algae to grow from over dosing?

I wouldn’t dose anything that isn’t for aquariums. It most likely would contain chemicals that could harm the fish. Yeah if you dose too much you could get some very bad algae. If you get some aquarium liquid ferts it tells you on the back how much to dose.
