I have been without my data since Dec 2018, but thanks to these instructions I was able to recover my files by removing all of the screws and partially prying of the screen. I didn't need to go all of the way with unplugging the the charger port. Thanks!!!

I don’t know how you figured this out but it is a sure winner. For others that may attempt this, you have to be very careful when you are separating the cover off of the circuitboard. And you want to disconnect the battery charger circuit and start the phone let it boot and then take it back apart and re-connect the charger circuit. It wasn’t clear in your video. Otherwise you cannot charge your batteries unless you have an external charger. But mine is working so far fully. Thanks again.

Michelle Monterde ...it's still working. But yes be careful. Having thumb nails are helpful to work the frame off around the main board/phone. I used a tiny piece of paper to isolate the charger Jacks pins and then turned on phone. Let it cycle. Turned it off. Took it back apart. Took out the paper. Reconnected charge jack pins. Put it together and it'd been good since.

Once your warraranty expires after 2 years or so then it will happen to you too, I believe its the update 6.0.1...I bought a new battery and it stopped rebooting but trust and believe problem still there and will be through that battery too just a matter of time....might as well buy 5 new batteries smh to be prepared... Total BS! I downloaded the WakeLock app and the phone now has enough power to play a video all the way through but drains the battery a bit faster.

This happened to me too - phone completely dead after two years, HOWEVER.... contact Samsung direct and you may find, like I did, that the handset is still under warranty. In my case they fitted a new motherboard FOC. Result!

How2Solutions partially! You did not answer to any of my questions! I started to do everything even if i didn't have all those precious answers i've been expecting from you. I broke the back of the phone because it didn't wanted to dettach from the phone...i've disconnected the fl3z from the motherboard, the phone does not randomly restart ,but it keeps showing that error message but rarely. The remaining problem is that i still need to use WAKE LOCK application, otherwhise, the phone will freeze or moving extremly slow until freezing or not even unlock the screen and i must pull out the battery. Can this problem be solved too?

Hey @how2soln, I have also the same problem BUT... if i wana start my phone 1st i have to remove the battery then put it back to the phone and do not power it up TILL 4-5 min. This way i use my Note 4. I've flashed the new stock rom for Note 4. Still same problem while booting (could not do normal boot). "My phone work well but it do not REBOOT"(problem is @booting) What to do Help me...

I am doing the same thing, if i dont put it in the freezer it wont start. But its not a fix, the phone is still broken, I have to run WakeLock otherwise it will start lagging/freezing and eventually shut down. But yes, if i put the phone in the freezer for a bit it will start.

I have the same issue on my phone and after I kept the phone in the service centre for 15 days they said I need to replace my motherboard and battery both and total price would be Rs 15000 so I brought my phone back from service centre. I told them I will fix it on my own or purchase a new phone rather then giving them Rs 15000. i cant understand why you should disconnect the charging plug from motherboard. MMC = Memory Card. This is a problem on the motherboard which you should replace. Even if my phone is disconnected from charger i cant get it on. Why you think that this is a problem on the charging jack?

what do you mean by use usb jig? please be specific. When I tried to leave the cable below the main board, it partially connected because there simply isn't enough room for it to sit aside once the case is assembled, the speaker fits tightly and leaves no room. when I run the phone without the connection or the rest of the case, it seems quick and responsive, but I want to use the rest of the features of the dock/charging board.

i took my mobile to a fixer , and he changed the charger socket , but it's the same :(. and he told me that we must replace the hard ! , so all data will be lost :( . , he said that the problem could be in ROM . is there anything i can do to save my data ? or he just did it wrong ?

i solved it , but not with your way . i re-flashing the stock ROM first , then i made a backup , then i did a reset to format factory .

i think that the mm update got the motherboard real hot and fried the emmc. i find it funny that my n4 shuts off after using camera app. i get the mmc read failed. no normal boot.
