For those who go by standard dilution ratios: the 'Toughest Brake Dust' dilution is 10:1 (exactly 9.67:1). The 'Moderate Brake Dust is 15:1. The 'Light Brake Dust" is 25:1.

Not that he's wrong but its way to confusing. He is writing it in terms of Oz per Gallon when in reality thats not a dilution ratio, It should always be written in terms of equal measurements, In this case it would be Oz's to Oz's.

Glad you clarified the ratios. Typically 5:1 would mean one unit of cleaner to five units of water, keeping units the same. You have 5 oz of cleaner to 1 gal of water. Very unique way to express a ratio.

yes during testing we sent samples all over the world for R&D and over 50% made a mistake mixing it so i had to simplify this for everyone. the theory is similar to how i mix paint, reducer and activator in the body shop.

Rather than using X:1 notation, perhaps just stating "5oz. per gallon of water" would be more universal. I get it, but there's already inconsistency in how dilutions are expressed. Some use 1:4 and some use 4:1 to mean the same thing. But in both of those cases the units are the same - X parts to Y parts. Oz. per gallon is clearer than adding a third variant to X:Y notation. My opinion only. It won't stop me from ordering. 😎

While it might seem expensive at first if it’s a concentrate that you can make 2-5 gallons out of , depending on concentration, it really isn’t very expensive at all.

What some of us need is a demo showing how this product is used with a standard spray bottle. I, for one, do not want another gadget (pump sprayer) to deal with.

this was never designed for conventional sprayers but if you do not want to get a foamer this system will not work for your needs. Il be showing application next weeks videos

I've been waiting for the product to go on sale since you announced it. The initial price + shipping gave me sticker shock. After watching this video, it makes sense how one can stretch a bottle. these are generic shipping labels from Staples you can print them in your computer easily, i just did this for the video but i use a black Sharpie on the cap of the gallons to mark them its much easier.

Do you need to pressure wash this off or will a regular garden hose work for those that do not have a pressure washer?

i have demos using the hose but you need to use a quick wipe as il show, you can still clean each wheel in under 2 minutes flat with a garden hose safely

maybe 8-12oz it really depends how you want to use it, you can easily foam quick, lightly agitate the lug pockets and barrel and move on or you can overload the wheel and be lazy to not scrub it depends on how you use it, same way with soap when washing hands. I will say you get more yield with this product than almost any other wheel cleaner because it gives so much more working time where as a typical sprayed product will dry so quickly on the wheel

this is not science class most people do not get the conventional way which is why i explained it as such here, we sent samples all over the world during R&D and 50% messed up badly. If someone thinks 5 gallons t of water to one full bottle is how to do it most DIY wont have access to do that on their own so we formulated it as such for a reason of ease to the end users. When you mix paint in the body shop it always starts with the paint as being part 1 then the activator then reducer, so in this case part 1 is always the wheel cleaner in OZ and part 2 the H20

The ratio is expressed in this video are 100% scientifically correct most detailers get it backwards. In fact even the chemical guys publish chart is scientifically backwards and technically incorrect. I’m glad that somebody is using the correct ratio format

You said exotic cars with ceramic brakes might need a tougher solution I think it’s the other way around carbon ceramic brakes are easier to clean and have much much less dust than steel brakes

So it’s $50 + shipping for a 32 oz bottle and you are required to have a foam sprayer which also runs at least $100 that’s alittle much just to clean wheels unless you’re running a detail shop a mobile detailed rarely runs into hammered wheels.

You have to think in the sense of time is money. Hammered wheels can take me personally up to an hour. If this product cuts that in half. Then money well spent. The way I see it....you can spray one wheel....as the product is working move to the next one. Then come back and agitate and rinse. I'm looking forward to the time savings.

Since you're saying the cleaner is not harsh/caustic, does that mean we can just leave it in the iK and it won't damage the seals? It would be nice to not have to worry about emptying and rinsing the foamer after use.

If this brake cleaner is a competitor to Iron X, would you suggest spraying this on your paint during chemical decon? I know that can be very common for people do to, including myself

this product does no contain any horrible smelling iron activator and is only used for wheel cleaning, you can experiment using it other ways but we have not spent the time doing so on our end. that iron decon is the biggest gimmick in detailing because a proper strip wash and clay is all a paint will ever need we are not driving our cars through steel mills or mines.

From your average Redditor, to other professionals on KZbin, just about everyone suggests a form of chemical decon being followed by clay. I'm sure some would argue that strip washes don't get everything off the clear coat. Personally, I don't have enough experience to argue either way, I'd enjoy hearing different opinions from others.

each dilution makes 1full gallon depending on ration one bottle of my wheel cleaner can make up to 6 gallons of cleaner to use which makes it very economical.

all depends how much foam you spray, for instance I fill my Ik9 with 1 gallon and I can do my wheels like 4-5 times with that one gallon and I tend to use a lot of foam with my Brembo brakes. Where as any wheel cleaner you buy from the store in a 32oz bottle would barely last two full times of use on cars with big brakes.

Did you find that one IK sprayer used more product than the other? Asking cause matt from obsessed was having issues with his unit(Ik 1.5) , maybe it was user error or something. Il be demo both foamers with my solution Monday, these foamers are very tricky with other products to work right. I saw Matts video quick i think he had the wrong nozzle installed for that solution he used but il show everyone so you guys get how this all works. Once you find the best medium its easy every time with no issues.

Auto Fanatic Matt Used way to much water and product in the foamer. The air inside the foamer is compressed which then shoots out the product-water mixture = Foam. If there is no air to compress you cannot shoot out that much foam and therefore you have to pump sooner. The foam looked very good for my taste..

a long time it will not settle or cause any issues as long as it is in a new clean sealed container, before use a quick shake, fill foamer and use, anything left in foamer can be poured back in gallon if you desire.
