I have one just like yours that I bought new in 2003. It is great fun to shoot, and easily digests everything from WW 185-gr. SilverTip HPs to 230 FMJ, and everything in between, including my handloads. I think that with a good rest, I could center punch a milk jug at 100 yards at least three, maybe four, times out of five. Windage is perfect. Gets a lot of attention at the range and everyone wants to shoot it. First thing they notice is the weight - around 11.5 lbs. Quite heavy and a bit awkward to carry over long distances, but tons of fun and smiles! It is certainly one of the most iconic American firearms. I have a drum mag, but I don't use it. I prefer the 30-rd. stick mag, which is more manageable.

I just saw your video I also have the deluxe model 1927A1 and I was watching the movie PUBLIC ENEMIES with Johnny Depp as John Dillinger and notice that they were able to carry their Thompsons under their arms so not to be out done by Hollywood I made my own adapter for my Tommy gun and had Ruffalo international make me a shoulder harness so now I can proudly swing my Tommy gun under my arm as well 😉 enjoyed your video

I have the US Army version. It has a side charging handle and only accepts stick mags. I have original WW2 mags that I altered in addition to the 20 & 30 rds. that came with it. A lot of fun to shoot and no recoil because of the weight. ❤

What good is only one sling mount??

Agree bigtime. Even if theyre trying to keep that classic "image" theres no reason to have only 1 sling mount or to not include the horizontal forend that has the sling mount on it. All that at the like 13 pounds that the gun weighs too.
