Finally got this to work, if anyone is having issues after they've imported please re-check how many channels you have. I missed this but if you look to the right side of the waveform in audition there are boxes which say [L] [R] count how many of those there are and that's how many channels you have. For me that's all the problem was, you can always remove channels in premiere so just make sure it's correct

This feature is useful to me, because editing long boring videos into fun short videos has to do with trimming unnecessary parts of the video. Trimming very long videos like my 44 minutes of my raw record video is took hours. I'm still in school so I don't have time to edit videos. But with this feature I can save time for editing. Who wants to watch 44 minutes of video for viewers, and edit videos for hours for content creator.

Hey Paul. This method works great. However, for larger files that are 2+ hours long (with 2000+ subclips), they will crash Premiere when importing and make the project file size enormous. Is there another solution? Cheers
@ThePremierePro
@ThePremierePro 2 жыл бұрын
The reason for this is because all those subclip markers are bloating the project file. Once you re-link the original media, it should reduce the project file size again (after you save the file). If the import is crashing Premiere, you could try breaking your clips into smaller chunks - or if you can afford it, I highly recommend this plugin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fH6ag2Cdf7edi6s

Two issues: When I creat a sequence from the subclips, it cuts a part, usually the final part. So a Video of two hours that I recorded was 1:30 hour, cutting out half our from my video even I selected all the subclips to make a sequence Another problem that video suffers a littlle of desynchronization Can you help with these problems?
@ThePremierePro

Hey Cassio, I haven't experienced these issues myself, so I can only guess what the cause is. When you have a video that's longer than 40 mins, I recommend adding markers in 40 min batches. Also, are you saying that your video is falling out of sync with the audio on the timeline? If you've relinked to the original video file, then whatever is playing on the timeline should be coming from that file.

Great tutorial and alternative to Recut and other paid services, but it's SO annoying that Adobe requires the extra steps of saving audio/re-encoding with a blank video track instead of exporting markers as XML files or something like the paid services. After seeing that, it just makes me want to pay for Recut because it would still be more cost effective 😕

The ability to export subclip markers from Audition and import into Premiere would be very useful - good feature request! www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

@@ThePremierePro I've stumbled across Auto-Editor, which is a tool to remove silence and the command line version is totally free, while the GUI is a $35 "donation". Seems to work well, just maybe not as pretty as Recut, etc. But it does automate the process and should save lots of time. Worth the $35 for me for sure.

How can you do this with separate audio and video clip files? Ones that start and stop at different times but fundamentally sync up.

You can use this method, which is similar with a few extra steps kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5zdaXaLn7Jres0 or the Timebolt plugin, which is the fastest (and I'm giving away 2 free copies in a week) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXSQpmaMidt1hbM

Importing my blanc video with the audio just imports an video same length as before and if I paste it it has the same length and not small clips, its one whole video

I wonder if this can be done by right clicking the audio in Premiere and selection edit in Audition. I mean, so we don't to open it in Audition separately. I've tried it and see the markers in premiere, but I am not getting the subclips even though its set up like that in Audition. I'm just not skill enough at this to know for sure how to do it.
@ThePremierePro
@ThePremierePro 11 ай бұрын
You need to import the file back into Premiere to force it to interpret those Audition markers as subclips in Premiere.

i have applied what u said and it works with me Great . but what it does mean to make it offline and link media I have just clicked buttons dont know what does they mean ... I mean to use them functionally
@ThePremierePro
@ThePremierePro 2 жыл бұрын
That's great! Having your media offline simply means Premiere keeps a reference to your video files, but can't play them - once you link the media again, it should play fine.

I tried this method but i have a couple problems with it. I record my camara sepperate from my recordings. So this way i can do things like make my facecam bigger or move it etc.. but this method only apply on 1 video & after i used media encoder and drag it to my premiere pro, i cant do it with all subclips only 1 by 1 I think its beceause the audio on each subclip has 5 audio tracks 1 short and the other are the same size as the original. But idk how to fix this

Hello, I have the following problem: when I save the audition it creates 2 files, one that is the audio (the .WAV) and the other with a .PKF format, when importing the wav file to the encoder, and following all the steps, the encoder exports the file to me without the subclips or the marks. I tought maybe the PKF file is the one that contains the information of the subclips that I made in the audition, but it is separate from the audio file, what should I do to solve this. Thanks in advance and sorry if there are grammatical errors, but I'm from Argentina and I wrote this with google translator.
@Knowr
@Knowr 2 жыл бұрын
¡Hola! The .pkf file is not related to the issue. I recommend setting your Project panel to List View before you import the file from Encoder. Here's a guide to doing this that may be available in Spanish: helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/customizing-project-panel.html
