The transmission itself is manual so in theory it is repairable. The problem is the actuator module if gone kaput does it have a repair kit? or The intire module would be replaced? it would be the weakest link if the driver does not know how to drive a manual car because is not a typical automatic. it should be treated as manual

It needs a rear wiper. A hatchback has no separate 'trunk' behind it. So the turbulence is maximum behind the rear windshield. In rainy weather, it would certainly cause dirt, grime and water to splash on it. Due to this the windshield needs cleaning.
