Don't forget that before you use tune for you ,you must set the parameter too ,Include afr target table and you make sure you set stoic for the type fuel your running ,and wideband reads same afr as your way does

@@BMF_Garage I just now put a turbo on my fox and I'm completely new to the turbo game I've never had a turbo car. I've built 4 Foxboro and 1 was a 1 351w. I was a Ford technician for 20 years at a dealership we were specialized dealership I did Line work engine work no electrical or tuning so to speak little drivability but nothing like it is today and the lead at a golf course head mechanic there but this tuning is a brand new aspect to me I've never had to tune a car and I've never had one dynoed or tuned I always thought that they ran pretty good to me but I'm sure I left plenty of horsepower on the table. I've just downloaded tunerstudio and I'm about to get the car to fire up I was just watching and trying to get all the first startup deals going but your videos have been tremendously helpful and I AM AMAZED AT how informative you are about everything .I'm just trying to get going on tunerstudio at the moment and get the car recognized by the ECU that's what I'm fixing to go out in my shop and do right now, but thanks again just any videos that you have I WATCH. I really thoroughly do enjoy so you keep those foxbody vids coming especially on tuning .Thank you so much for what you do and I'll be watching hope you have a wonderful day and a very Merry Christmas

I just came across your video about Autotune and was initially shocked to see 19.5 on idle AFR and later I saw in the comment that you live in Colorado. I spent a lot of time learning Tunerstudio and think you should stick with a standard AFR setting but correct your mixture with „Baro correction table“ for your high Elevation. Now I have to admit that I have not found any good video on how to get values for that table. Lots of luck.

Good video. TunerStudio is a lot less intimidating once you get it up and running. I have my idle and low RPM cruise VE tables locked as well. I'm running a PiMPxs on my 1986 Mustang as well. Runs a hell of a lot better than it did with the A9L/MAF setup I had on a Trick Flow H/C/I kit. Stinger Performance gives Foxbody owners a great kit to get started with DIY EFI tuning, it's very accessible for newbies.

Thanks! My thoughts exactly. It’s the best investment I’ve made on my fox. Well worth the money

If you find out which percentage value to enter in that Baro correction table for different elevations I would love to see a video since I plan on driving across several alpine mountain passes in Europa in the near future I want that table to be correct. Thanks a lot.

I’ve found that having a good base ve table set and then letting the ecu “incorporate AFR Target” works fine in the mountains. I’ve driven my car from Kansas to Rocky Mountain National park and haven’t had issues with the tune.

@@BMF_Garage Thanks, good to know. Stupid me, have just searched the TS manual and at page 157 chapter 7.1.9 they did include values for altitude corrections and since „leaning out“ an engine is basically the same for all motors I inserted that data into my project hoping it works. Have a great day.

Can i use simple obd cable to connect software ? Or i need something special ?
@BMF_Garage Жыл бұрын
This specific software only works with mega or microsquirt aftermarket ecu, not with factory or stock ecu.

clevor iam just starting to try to tune my 351w 78/76 single turbo with the 190cc 2.02int and 1.60exh heads and x-303 cam I have tunerstudio microsquirt, and I just want to get the car started with out it being so RICH at idle, will auto tune change that so iam not dying from the exhaust fumes wow its bad.
@BMF_Garage6 жыл бұрын
The x303 is a bigger cam, so you’ll probably need a higher age at idle than normal... Best thing to do is get the car up to operating temp 180 ish... you have to get your idle fuel VE set before you can really get the warm up enrichment set... You can go to the warmup enrichment table and lower those values in the percent table to help with this initially... Once you get the idle VE set, then the auto tune for startup/warmup will work as long as your AFR table is set ok. With a bigger cam, you have to go off smell at idle... mine idles around 19 afr.. but yours will be different...
