I have this exact camera and leave it on all the time. I've gone 5 days and have not had to use the USB cable to recharge. I've had it for over a year no issues. I live in Oklahoma and have traveled in sunny as well as overcast weather, works great. Once I reach my destination, if I'm going to be stationary for more than 3 days I take the camera and solar panel down.

I installed the system on my Winnebago Via last fall, then this spring, I ordered a second camera (charges via USB0 so that the main camera provides a great view of behind my rig, and the second camera with a magnetic mount can be used when backing up so I have a better view of our car and the hitch. I haven't used it that much yet, but so far, I'm more than happy!
