I have been pondering upon the idea of automated system,.. stumbled across your channel; I like some of the methods used. I thought about a trickle system, but am unsure since seeing your constant flow system. I have seen other setups with smaller water lines through out although I'm not sure how cost effective it'd be. I have 20 + tanks varying from 10-90 gal with plans on adding two 180 or 220 gal later this year, and I must say, water changes have been pain in the bak!! Especially being on second story over the garage. I currently have a small in line, however no automated system as of yet. Your ingenuity has given me a few ideas now ,.. I thank u for taking time to show & share. Keep at it bro...

That is great one, and I am thinking of doing one for my tanks, but I am wondering about several things. 1. I understood that you don’t have to worry about chlorine things. But what would you suggest us who living somewhere with central water supply chain with chlorinized water. 2. How do you clean up poo or detritus? With the biofilter? I only have sponge filters in many of my small tanks. I basically do vacuuming this during my water change with hose. 3. I assume certain amount of new water goes directly to drainage system. What amount of new water goes to the drainage system through overflow system. How can we just drain out old water only? Thanks for your advice in advance.
@inventoryking6 жыл бұрын
1. You can get a carbon block 2. I just clean the poop up when it needs it. 3. No sure how much but some does. I have the drip tubing in the tank pointing to the bottom so not a whole ton.

@inventoryking4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. What do you mean? Are you talking about the valves on the zone going to the tank?
@WeldonTanks4 жыл бұрын
@@inventoryking I figured out you are using RO line to the tanks. But the valves that were used to actually tap the pvc pipe. Thinking it is a 1/4” valve that you threaded into the pvc line to bring water to the tank. And I greatly appreciate you answering my questions. Been lurking watching your channel for a while now but your water system is the cleanest and most professional I have seen!

I've been waiting for this video. I'm the 1st on your channel. Ok question so the pvc on the wall dont go directly into the tank only the black hoses? I was wondering what those were, thought they her air hoses but weren't the same color as the other. The you drilled for the overflow is the only pvc that actually touches the tanks?
@inventoryking6 жыл бұрын
My old system has the pvc drain inside the tank and the water fill line on the top of the tank. Its all primed so the drains in the tank drain. The old system is not drilled The auto water change stuff - The black tubes are used for the water to leave the PVC and go into the tanks. The new system is drilled for the overflow on the inside
