I pretty much think these people need to understand what their cars are capable of before they start running with people next to them. I can see a car that is set up for racing but not these Polos. Some of these cars are trying to take turns that the race cars are spinning on. Plus the rain doesn't help any. I cringe every time I see a car spin and then with a splitter the try and hop on the other side of the road. Money is money I guess.
@jetara30823 жыл бұрын
@@TheHuntsman42 haven't really changed. It's not like a track day at all, problem being the vast amount of people who never ever were on a track before. It's not even their driving that makes them dangerous, it's the lack of experience of how to behave on a track at speed. If you wanna be serious about your driving or want to minimize the risk that some amateur destroys your car...do a regular trackday organized by some pros or try to find a tourist spot that is not so crowded (good luck with that).

It never ceases to amaze me how many people fail to find the brake pedal when they're rolling backwards towards a crash barrier - once you've lost control completely, just lean everything on the brake just in case, it's saved my rear bumper a couple of times lol

That BMW is just following the race line. The Porsche's trying to pass from the right side and even if the other driver happened to glance at the mirror he might be on the blind spot. Just stupid move by the Porsche. Where did he expect that BMW to go?

When the circuit is open to Touristenfahrten, someone has an off and causes trackside damage to the barrier, tyres etc, the driver of the car is on the hook for a substantial sum of money sometimes, but I've always wondered who stomachs the cost when it's a proper race? Do the race teams get handed a suitable bill?

Why is the rear axle often demolished at this turn 10:23 or 13:53 ? Judging by the video, there is a rise in the road.
@justincase94713 жыл бұрын
10:23 is called lift oversteer, it's what you get when you release the throttle while driving in a corner. This causes about 90% of the crashes. 13:53 The tracks seems to be wet and slippery and the driver is not on the wet line, which causes him to spin. Please also note that the Nordschleife is extremely slippery when the track is damp or wet.
@baijeedchowdhury20043 жыл бұрын
@@justincase9471 how can you tell its lift oversteer? Is it the sound?
