This course is so amazingly tricky. I've spent YEARS in Gran Turismo 6 and still have yet to master it in simulation, let alone the real deal. Some of the turns come up on you in strange ways, the Green Hell is a terrifying track to conquer. The crowning of the road in some sections is a foot or more difference from the edge. One must learn not only every turn, but how each area of road is slightly different from the last. All in all, this is the track that makes great drives, IMO. It is a combination of tricky corners, varying asphalt conditions, different crowning conditions, and endurance due to the length. Good luck to my fellow drivers if you ever plan to tackle this beast.

You enter that that particular Corner after a high-speed passage and it's a nasty combination of going right and uphill at the same time. So you lose grip at the right back wheel which results in understeering and a vioelent turning of the car

why do people keep losing traction on straight line?
@sirfox81506 жыл бұрын
I think sometimes it is caused of a too hard suspension. The Nordschleife isn't flat, it has many bumps in the track, so it's hard for beginners or for new setups on you car.

There's an uphill right that features in quite a few incidents (2:18 for instance). including bikes. What's tricky about that corner - oil, maybe?
@Jordan-kw9jn10 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it could be due to the elevation change and speed, the dampers will unload at the top of the hill, causing the rear to become very 'light weight/floaty' feeling and with that, the wheels will spin easily and loose control... Road dampers and springs aren't the best for track driving...
@MyFavoriteDisease10 жыл бұрын
Jordan Taylor You're absolutely right. Another contributing factor is that it's the exit of a relatively slow corner, so drivers accelerate with quite a lot of wheel torque there.
@michaeljarvis268210 жыл бұрын
nope just a shit ton of people who once they get on the ring,(and since they have driven it in a video game) think they automatically become a factory GT driver.
@Jordan-kw9jn10 жыл бұрын
Its not that they just slip for no reason, its because of weight being transfered and inexperienced drivers not being used to this
@Guerilla_G10 жыл бұрын
If you notice it's because most drivers are treating the throttle like an on/off switch, and are stomping on it as soon as they can see the exit before the car is stable, listen to the engine sounds. They should be gently feeding it in.

The old ones yes. The new ones wouldn't drift if you keep the ESP (ECS) running.

You can really tell tell the difference from the noobs and pros at the craches, the noobs always break out the rear and then drive the front into the wall while the pros always try to countersteer to prevent damaging their car.
