I’m only at 26:10 in, but odometer doesn’t work, guaranteed. The trip meter is showing all 0’’s. It’s an OBD2 car so you *can* go into the ECM of the car (possibly with your autel) and find the actual mileage, order a new programmed odometer, and not have to think about selling it as TMU. Can’t remember the actual module you scan, it’s been a while. It can be done on 96/97 cars though. The fact that the AC works, I’m amazed!! Those evaporators are almost a 100% failure rate!

Awesome guys! I had the exact same experience about ten years ago when I went to check out a 92 BMW 325i that had been parked for a few years and the kid that owned it said he thought the engine was blown/ I bought it for $1000 as it had no rust or rips it was the exact spec I wanted Manual etc. So i bought a fuel pump threw it in and right off "Varoom!" LOL. Gotta love it!! I drove that car for two years and like an idiot I sold it. Sigh.... Oh well.

Catching up on KZbin , never enough time in the day anymore. Volvo cars are pretty solid hard to kill Vehicles most of the time . I only paid $750 for my 2000 s80 T6 7 years ago and it probably sat for 7 years before I bought it ... I only needed a battery to get it home and it's been driving since .. If in doubt when it has anything to do with timing belt , it's better to go ahead and replace everything , also keep an eye on the coolant ... Thank you for sharing Randy

Since I saw that you won this, I waited for this video to come out so, I hope it does well! When I managed the Volvo Dealership, I had a couple buy a S60 from me and, they pulled up in one of these with the paint destroyed (Same color and everything as your Volvo). I begged them to trade it so I could buy it but, couldn't get them to do it.......Sad Day. You definitely scored on this one, 5cyl Turbo from a time win Volvo actually built a fairly reliable car. Timing Belt and Waterpump look brand new which is where these usually break. New ones are absolute Hot Flaming Garbage.

Randy sir, unbelievable! That’s all I can say to describe the score you have. I have a 99 Volvo S70 with 76,000 original miles on her. I bought it at a dealership who acquired it at an estate sale I believe and it had only 47,000 and change when I found her. Bought it for my wife who in turn drove it for a while until she decided she wanted a new car. Was going to sell it until my fireman brother told me that I was stupid if I did. Turns out they are one of the hardest cars for the jaws of life to cut into and they are built like tanks. Low and behold I still have it and it’s my daily driver and I love it. Engine is indestructible if maintained and the price is actually going up on the older Volvos because they’re great on gas. Let Monkey Wrench Mike work all the kinks out of it and you have yourself a car that’ll run forever. Look forward to the next video!!! 😁👍🏻

If you are concerned about the gaslines popping off the fuel pump, then you should make sure you put the cover back in place because if it is not put back in place and the gas line does pop off it is going to spray gas all over in the trunk and if the seat is in the folded down position it will get gas in the interior of the car as well. It is less work to have to remove mouse crap and mouse odor than it is to have to clean out mouse crap and gas along with the odors.

The one thing people ignore on their cars is the air filters replace the cabin air filter and the air filter for the motor. I guarantee everything will run much better that way. Also change the timing belt because no one knows when it was last replaced and flush all the fluids as they might be black and old
