The Lincoln MKZ was a twin to the Ford Fusion. The MKS was a twin to the Taurus . I think it would be a great car to clean up and maybe flip.

I was screaming fusion the whole time while you talked about the MKZ. It is a Fusion wearing a suit. Also, 2.7 death was caused by the internal gasket of the water pump leaking which turned the oil into sludge and destroyed the engine.

Right on the money with the 2.7 charger absolutely a time bomb! Those 2.7s have to be the worst chrysler dodge engine ever made! Famous for oil sludge and locking up!

The Lincoln is actually the more luxurious version of the Ford Fusion or Mercury Milan. That Charger might be a 2.7L V6, but it's good on gas. My dad and I went to Memphis, TN back in 2008, and had a Charger like that (but red) as a rental. We barely had to put any gas in it when we went to return it, it was that good on gas. I think that Camaro was originally a dealer car (as evidenced by the inventory sticker on the front windshield), and going by the low mileage, it likely got hit while on the dealer lot, and the dealer's insurance wrote the car off.

I liked the MKZ and reminded me of my 09 Milan as they are clones. My Milan had the Mazda based 2.3 L with the 5 speed transmission and had 275 K on it with original drivetrain when I sold it. I believe the MKZ has the 3.5 L Cyclone with the notoriously awful water pump chain driven design. It is known to leak prematurely and w/o warning turn the engine to toast and is expensive to repair due to the water pump located in the middle of the engine. Otherwise, a great-looking car.

Get the MKZ! I own a 18 MKZ and it is a super smooth ride, active suspension (standard) and plush seats. It’s one of the last smooth riding, comfy American cars made (at least at base model).

The SS camaro is a nice car it would take some big money, time & work to get it back like it was before.i wish I had it and the skill to rebuild it. You might be able to fine a used frame at one of the parts yards and may be some body parts too. I don't know how much a new convertible top would cost. The Dodge Charger would be Cool to fix also, make a sleeper out of it. It might just need a fuse or something small like that. Have a Blessed day, randy.

the ford five hundred is a full size car the predecessor of the crownvic so it really wasn't a luxury version of the ford five hundred. they still look nice though i would say it look more like a ford fusion and to be honest i personally think thst the 2.7 engine is better than the 3.5 my charger had the 2.7 still have the car but gotta restore it

Correct, the Chrysler 2.7 motor was extremely prone to sludging and locking up. Even owners who changed their oil according to factory specs were left stranded with dead motors. I owned one, the only way I ensured it didn't happen to me was use full synthetic from day one.

Lincoln MKZ if you get the 07+ MKZ you get the 3.5 V6 instead of the 3.0 in the Fusion, that's one of its biggest bonuses; the 06 Zephyr was the 3.0. The 3.5 was eventually available in 10-12 Fusion Sport models.
