That first truck is perfect man no cylinder deactivation back when Chevy was reliable its sad to say the only reliable Chevy now is the diesels because they have a Allison transmission and no cylinder deactivation its sad the new ones have transmission and engine problems

The Chevy Express vans have still been spared the cylinder deactivation bs afaik. I know my 2011 and 2021 3500s don't have it.

I have a 2010 with the 4.6 with 250k on it. It has never had a major breakdown. The transfer case needed some work and had some window motors replaced. Only needed scheduled maintenance and tires otherwise. I've towed several trailers hundreds of miles at a time and never had a problem doing it. I think the 3 valve 4.6 has a bad rap because people don't do their scheduled maintenance. I love mine.

I understand your love for the Coyote, it's a great engine. I have a 2.7 Eco and I'm pretty impressed with it. That said, I'll probably go with the 3.5 or 5.0 next time.

Another great video Randy! That Suburban is not a bad SUV and would make a hauler for someone. The red GMC would maybe just need a dash bezel and ignition. Hopefully nothing complicated. The red Ford doesn't look to bad and could be cleaned up. Also that Roush F150 is just sweet! If you got that it would be just amazing! Keep up the great videos!👍

man if I had the funds I would get that Suburban to use for spare parts on my 2004 Tahoe Z71 with 345,000 miles but in all honesty it would be hard to part that one out since it looks like in good shape! The 2000-2006 Tahoe/Suburban is the best built vehicles and they are built to last which is why so many has high miles...even with high miles my Tahoe is the most reliable vehicle I have owned! The red F-150 would be a good work truck and should be reliable with the 4.6 compared to the 5.4 and the Raptor F-150 is sketchy.....you said it should have damage but does not have any damage? so was it sold previously and put back together and seller is trying to re-sell or did the auction make a mistake? It is a nice truck regardless!

Randy I've learned with alot of the early 2000 tahoes and suburbans it's usually the belt broke on the compressor for the a/c.

On that 2010 F150, you can put an aftermarket radio in there. It’s just a whole entire black panel on the radio has to be replaced and a dash kit is required to fit a aftermarket radio

Love your videos randy, I know you talk shit about the old 5.4 V8 3 valve but my 2010 tows great, works awesome and I know lot people who had lot issues with the Coyote 5.0 engines. Same as those twin turbos have lot of coolant leaking issues around the turbo plugs and there a nightmare to change. Sometimes having the newest trucks dont make them better.

I used to have a 2003 Suburban with the somewhat rare 9 seat option, it made me way too popular for Boy and Girl Scout trips. Was still running great, no rust at 175K, I had planned to keep it forever. Unfortunately, a drunk guy made an illegal turn in front of my friend when he was driving it and it got totaled. BTW: Get the Raptor!!

The Sub looks like a higher end model but with base or 2500 series wheels. Oil pressure should be around 40+. The pressure sending unit is bad, just like mine. It is behind the intake plenum. If you are flexible and don't mind swearing a little, you can change it without removing the plenum. 3:27 Right back there. If it has been maintained, the mileage is nothing. The thing to watch out for is rust above the fuel tank. My Siera had 407K and purred like a kitten. 3:30 Hey, mine too! 3:45 Hit that snowflake for manual ac. If it has a line through the snowflake, that could mean the system isn't working because mine doesn't have it and works fine. Watch for rusted brake line$ and rear heat line$. Where you are there might not be too much rust. 4:30 Rear hatch and window pistons!!! 5:15 The CDs never work. There are videos on cleaning the unit. 12:40 Lower end model with some options. Notice the mechanical ac system. 12:45 Looks like 2wd. Water leak in the headliner in back? 13:20 These are so easy to diagnose and work on once you get the hang of it. Look in the bed for the trim pieces.

G'evening Randy ☕☕ 🤠 . The 02 sensor on the raptor is going out. The roller-coaster idle is a dead give-away. It's only 410 hp & 14 mpg combined. If it were me, I would be all over the Suburban & the long box Chevy truck. With a lil' tuning the vortech's will make more hp than the raptor & get better mileage. I'm looking @ an 04' Suburban myself 😋 . I'll take a Vortech over an LS every time ..
