Mat, you three are legends! I have to tell you how you gave this 48 year old Mom of 2 teenage boys, "street cred"..... My son is wanting to update his stock BMX bike for his birthday in a couple weeks. It'll be his very first project of the sort. He gave me a list of things he wanted (New forks, wheels, tires, handlebar, grips, pedals, seat and custom paint job) and said "I know you don't know much about cars or bikes, so here's my list, but don't order anything without me checking to make sure they're right!" I started to laugh and told him "You do know that I lived a whole life before you right? I used to buy cars and modify them, put new custom wheels and tires on them, do custom paint jobs, and put amazing stereos in them! I've had so many cars I can't keep track of them all!" He looked at me and asked to see pictures and was shocked at the sheer amount of cars that I owned. I then showed him your channel and told him how I watch you weekly, along with a few others that rebuild cars, and others that do custom painting. He looked at me like I was someone he had never seen before! I suddenly was a cooler Mom just by him seeing you were a BMX rider AND rebuilt awesome cars. I've been with you since you had about 100k followers and I've loved watching you grow to where you are today. You're my absolute favorite and I appreciate you, Hannah, your Dad Tony and everyone else who helps with your projects and videos. Thanks so much for bringing me a bit closer to my sons. Wreck cars from my country, north America, North Africa, Arab, china, and East Asia are all ending up in the UK. Used and wrecked resale is the fastest growing industry in the UK for a reason. My brother who migrated to the UK is making tons of money by shipping wrecked cars from my country back to the UK. He fixed them and sells the parts. Unlike rich countries like China, Arab and America where they prefer to buy new cars. My brother helps Brits to appear richer and maintain their posh lifestyle while also putting UK as hot market for luxury cars in the world map by selling luxury and sports cars at dirt cheap prices.

The light situation is a bit messy with the C7/7.5… those you ordered are the pre-facelift full-led lights (they were the first full-led lights in 2011), which do however require different wiring, same with the actual facelift lights. For the rear you can rewire the lights from the facelift if you prefer them, it’s not that difficult of a job. Good luck with the awesome build!

You could get the plug for the facelift headlight from either a crash damaged car or a few aftermarket stores, after which all you’ve got to do is cut the wires from the old ones and re-wire them with the new plug. I did the same for my RS6 here in India as I got aftermarket headlight. You could also get the headlight plug from some aftermarket plug and play kits.

Loving the Audi restomod stuff! From bitter experience with a 1995 UrA6 I know that even what the workshop manual & parts catalogue says is often wrong. Then there is the fact it’s so well screwed together, there are usually clips held in by screws and screws held in by screws (probably exaggerating) But the best is the pneumatic line system on the old ones like a lego technic JCB set x 1000 or as one mechanic mate put it “Repairing an old Audi is like trying to fix a Swiss watch with a spanner” 😂

When it comes to the headlights I had the C7 platform for my Audi S6 and I personally didn't buy one unless it had the LED headlights. They make a massive difference! Looks alone are 10000x better but in terms of visibly at night is NIGHT & DAY. The ones that came with yours are dull and yellow and the LED have the crisp white light and turn with you to brighten your peripheral when you turn. They're not an updated version to a later model they came with that option from standard or upgrading to those LED's.
