The third generation of the Avalon (05-12) is a gem of a vehicle. They are essentially the equivalent of a Lexus ES , but not quite as expensive. That generation rides like a full sized sedan of the past and meant to compete against the Buick Park Ave and Panther platforms as well as some higher end European brands at the time. They were known affectionately as Japanese Buicks. They are large and roomy as well as are notoriously reliable and safe.I've seen a few for sale in the mid 400 K range. They also hold their value well even at that age. I'm surprised, Randy, that you've never owned one. It could be a good first vehicle for your stepson, with the only drawback being the fuel mileage (22 MPG combined). They are my favorite used vehicle outside of the Panther platform. Happy Holidays.

The winner of the video is the Toyota Avalon! I wonder why it's been sitting there for so long and I wonder when it'll ever go on sale. I'd keep my eyes out for this one. Also probably can ask Copart what's going on with it. I remember you asking IAA or Copart about a super low mileage white Buick convertible that was sitting for 2+years.

My grandparents had an Avalon in that same color combo, but I think they had like a Touring or XLS, it didn't have cooled seats, but had everything else, including laser cruise control, it was an '05. Great car, I like those.

It is an 'over ride' button for the park assist. If you are in reverse and the system is beeping because you are too close to something or the sensor(s) are obstructed by some like snow or mud, you can push the button the beeping stops. It over rides the system

The Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 Diesel is a very reliable car with great gas mileage. Obviously the white one was parked for a longer period. You should look for one with low miles. This is a great car for a family. Greetings from Germany

I own a VW TDI and it takes around 30 minutes to change the glow plugs on the VW TDI Engines VW TDI will last forever and you get great feul economy.

that Toureg is what you call a lemon the delamination on the drivers window are shaped like lemons the airbaglight in the Avalon is interesting it could be taht it's on the Takata airbag recall if it is than the drivers airbag is being changed free of charge at Toyota

It's hard to say what's wrong with the vw but I had that same car in blue 2013 it used to do that when the key fob was dying instead of telling you it just wouldn't run it would start and dy over and over again like 5-7 times before running perfectly I took it to 3 mechanics and they couldn't figure it out I figured it out myself when the key died completely and wouldn't unlock it or anything so I got a mobile key guy to make me 2 new keys and it never did it again it blow my mind

Its called Climate Change same thing here in NC almost every old roof was replaced after a freak hailstorm here in july, people who have lived here all their lives sais they had never seen anything that bad in their life! Our yard was like it had snowed and the temp changed so fast it was foggy from all the ice. Wiped out a lot of cars here and we dont get hail like that here because we are at the base of the mountians and we are usually more protected by them from approaching cold fronts from the west. It usually on east of Greensboro when the cold fronts collide with the more moist air as they get closer to the Atlantic ocean side of the state. We haven't had any real snowfall here in 4 years !we usually get feet of snow at once barely anything last year at all. Its not even that cold here and its almost jan, something is definitely changing
