I think the short videos are just OK for information but the longer videos brings entertainment, information and interaction. And for me, its the interaction + entertainment + Information that makes me enjoy the videos. So Randy, I advise you go back to the longer videos. Its what makes people love you brother.

I'd go for it. You can probably get a replacement hood from a salvage yard. The rest you can repair or not repair depending on preference. The air conditioning may be expensive and I'd to plug an OBD scanner in, to see what the Check Engine light is for.

Any car with hail damage, excluding broken glass with water intrusion, is a good deal. Think of them as parking lot dings, just a lot of them. 😁 For the right price that car could be driven till the wheels fall off.

I believe here in New York you have to repair or whatever but must go through a safety inspection before ensuring and registry

Just go to Pull a Part and buy a $75 hood and $50 truck kid and get it sprayed (if the wrong color)for $400, wrap the top black $50(diy) and you’ll be fine!🎉

I would take that one hail damage and all and be happy. I can fix that damage myself. Sucks i have no money until my house sells. I shut down my business so I could pack and stuff in preparation. But I will get me one some day!

I lived in Florida and bought a car with a salvage title I don't remember if it was State farm or Allstate but they would not insure it at all. They said that the car had to be fixed and issued a rebuilt title in order to get liability coverage only. The fact that I would not be able to get full coverage even if I "fixed" the car discouraged me from buying another salvage/rebuilt title car. I'm glad I was able to get my money back for the car. As far as used cars. I'm currently driving a 2002 Honda Odyssey that I bought in 2010 with 90k miles. It's now clocking at almost 250k miles.

Here in CT you can’t register or insure a car with “salvage” on the title. However you can fix it and have a Salvage Inspection completed. Obtain a “rebuilt” title and you’re good to go. A bit of a process admittedly but still doable. They’re just sticklers about the inspection being done in CT.
@fredearl534411 ай бұрын
In MN they will cover salvage cars but if you get in a wreck.you don't get book value you get a check for rebuilt title price instead of a regular title price

The only issue I have with the hail damaged car shown is the color…. if it was lighter color (think white) I might take a chance since I find hail damage tends to show less on lighter colors. Another option is to do a light all over light scuff/sand, skim coat the dents with polyester glazing, take to Maaco for basic reshoot. Make a good daily driver.

Main issue I'd have with it is its trade-in value would be tanked due to all the cosmetic damage, so if you ever wanted to trade it in on something else down the line, you wouldn't really get sh** for it. From that angle it's a terrible investment. Now if you were going to hold onto it indefinitely and drive it until it expired, then it'd be worth considering.

The issue with this car isn't that it has hail damage. The issue is that it's a Chrysler. 😆
@turbotato11 ай бұрын
If I needed a long distance commuter, I would absolutely drive a hail car. The mileage would kill the value anyway and in lots of cases you don't even notice the hail damage unless you really look close. For PA, there is an enhanced inspection process that the car needs to go through to go from salvage to rebuilt. Some companies do not insure rebuilt title cars. I own 3 R title cars...you can save a ton of money buying an R title and after it has been reconstructed for a few years, most people don't care as much and the price differential becomes less of a factor.

If I needed a car/truck really bad and didn't have a lot of money, I'd drive the hell out of it. If I had the money and the choice, probably not. That said, my wife is a licensed insurance agent and we live in Texas. I think ultimately, it comes down to specific insurance companies on whether or not they'll insure a vehicle with a salvage title. My wife has been able to write policies for vehicles that were salvaged, fixed, and had a new rebuilt title issued, but she's never been able to write a policy on a vehicle with a salvage title.
