I had an 07 335i that was similar to that 330, but with a few more options. The 330 is a good car, it has the N52 3.0 which is more powerful than the M54 3.0 you were referring to, engine and transmissions are pretty reliable. Lots of other little issues that look like they need fixing, but doable for sure. The headlight errors are a pain with the adaptive headlights, each headlight has a computer module and it has to be re-coded by a dealer or someone with BMW software if replaced.

Does that BMW have the GM G6L46R transmission? If so, it'll probably need a rebuild at 150k or sooner if it's been driven like a BMW should be driven. My wife bought an 03 CTS about a year before we got married. I was paralyzed for a few months about a year after we were married and I was driving a 25th anniversary mustang 5.0/5 speed at the time. In the few years after being paralyzed I couldn't operate a clutch properly. I ended up driving and maintaining the 03 CTS (3.2L) until it was totaled by a drunk road raging idiot with about 276K on it in June of 19. I had the transmission fluid and change the filter on that car about every 60K. Ran AMSOIL, did 15k oil changes, and changed the oil filter every 4-5k. From a client, we bought a nearly identically optioned 2004 CTS with the 3.6L and the newer generation transmission. For some odd reason that I can't remember we waited on the transmission service until 100k. Moving or some such nonsense. The transmission let go at 150K. It was rebuilt by a local shop in Missouri with an instate warranty. That was a mistake. Because we drove it to Phoenix (moving again) and the transmission 💩 the bed about 60 miles from Phoenix. It was then rebuilt by a highly recommended national franchise in Phoenix. We moved to Whittier CA about a year later, then to Honolulu HI a year after that. Her car is still going and mine well, it was loaded onto a ship the day after it was crashed. The body shop in El Cajon was rushed and didn't see some passengers side damage. Got it to Honolulu and it wouldn't pass the safety inspection then a local body shop there wrote an estimate and yeah, insurance wrote me a check. I went to San Antonio about two months after and they got $15 for it at auction.

I had that same exact car down to the color. Things to look out for is the disa valve it goes bad and the rod goes into your pistons and good bye engine. The other thing are the valve cover gasket tends to leak oil. Make sure to change the cooling hose flange cause that definitely goes bad.

A car like that is a good seller on a car lot so for it to not to have sold or driven much in the past 8 months shows there is a big problem. With your case did you trade it in at a new car store? Headgasket on n52 cars are something you should watch for and the typical BMW plastic cooling parts

Ford vans resell for pretty wild money, I watched some Massachusetts ex-police vans torn apart, not running, high miles bring four grand. Newer than that one, though, like 09-10-11s. But even the older ones like that bring good money. That's around a 98-ish. Saw one that year bring two grand at an auction. Low miles, but not in great shape. I have no idea why.

that yellow headlight error is usually the adaptive headlight controller error. the motors which make the headlight turn with the direction you are steering is malfunctioning. my last bmw had that error, took the dealer 3 different times to figure out what it was. glad it was under warranty lol. that bmw doesn't look bad, probably was in an accident at one time on the passenger front. those 330 had better engines, that was right before they started dumping the turbos on it and calling it a 335

Randy I have had 2 bmw 3 series cars so far and they were 2006 and 2009. best cars. Strong engine lots of power, very fuel efficient. The transmission never had a problem with it, and i bought them from Copart UK for £400-£700 each. If i was you i would buy that car since you can sell them for $4000 minimum. or part it out and make $2500 from the engine alone.

Randy, that BMW e90 (330) especially without the all wheel and idrive is decent deal (you wouldn’t want those options usually as they are troublesome with age). The N52b30 engines are very decent if reasonably maintained (looks like it) and fairly easy to work on. Typical BMW stuff though with coolant system refresh, suspension and misc trim clips, fairly easy to change all that, however from the video most of that looks to be done. If it was a manual, then it would be a very easy purchase to make. You don’t want the later turbo model, lol.

I've got a 330i e91 model (it's the Estate version..) Mine has almost 300k KM's on the odo, replaced the timing chain and camshafts at 290K. Other then the iDrive I couldn't find many high cost repairs, iDrive replacement regarding to a repair costed €700 in parts only.. Was replaced because of the system rebooting itself during colder weather. Perhaps if you buy the 330i with the N52B30A check the VANOS inlet & outlet solenoid's, best to remove, flush en install again they are both in the front of the upper block installed with 1 bolt (Camshafts). After that put new oil in it, seriously helps making it run better! My timing chain gave up because of a solenoid responding to late for to long, it won't always give you a check engine code.. Would've saved my wallet a bunch of $.. Would love to see the 330i on the channel, looks nice! :)
