Those 2012 Honda Pilots are indestructible. I bought mine from copart with 185k miles on it and rebuilt it on my channel. And the same with mine, the power lift gate only opens automatically from the button in front. Only thing to worry about is those are timing belt motors. Great cars, love mine. Ive put almost 3,000 miles on it so far with 0 issues! Bought it for 4k out the door

I used to have a 2009 Pilot, same color. The VTM4 button is only functional when the car is shifted into L or 2nd gear on the selector. If you go above a certain speed or put it into drive, the car will override the button. It's used just for low speed 4wd locking

I have a 12 pilot, love it. Power trunk only opens from key or drivers door button, if you hit release on trunk it assumes manual mode and needs to be pulled.

People under estimate just how much effort it takes to run a you tube channel, constantly creating content for people to watch for free.... Yes you earn a lot of money now, but that wasn't always the case, you've worked hard for it Randy and i for one appreciate it, i've had countless hours of entertainment from your video's and it hasn't costed me a penny. Here's to the next 2 years! All the best for the new year. Phil.

Randy that 2012 Pilot is a great SUV. 85k miles is nothing. I have a 2012 Pilot with 126k miles and it runs like new. The reason for all the room is because there's a 3rd row seats hiding in there. It's also a very desirable body style. Might even be a nice SUV for your finance. It comes with a 3.5 V6 ivtec. That's a really good engine. You should definitely bid on it. Also those Honda Pilots hold value!! Hope you have a Happy New Year!

That Pilot with under 100k miles is perfect for Ms. Jessica, it doesn't need a timing belt with water pump and a valve adjustments until it hits 100k miles. The J35/37 Honda Acura engines are very bulletproof like the Toyota Lexus GRFE V6's. These Pilots are solid and very well built, myself I have a 2006 Pilot with over 187k miles and it drives smooth.

The Pilot would be a great fit for Ms. Jessica and the 2002 Accord the perfect run about car. The good thing with the Pilot is that its not due for timing belt with water pump change along with valve adjustments until around 100k miles. The Accord definitely needs a complete timing kit, valve cover gasket along with valve adjustments and the upper radiator hose. I would also include spark plugs for both.

Hey Randy, I see a way to have your cake and eat it too. I’m 73, going quickly to 74. Like yourself, I enjoyed working on old fixer uppers and trying to bring them back to life. Unfortunately, back when I was your age and had the spunk to do it, there wasn’t a market or the technology that could create one. Perhaps that part of what got me to follow you back when you were Uberman. Now the caveat. You made it big, I didn’t. I’ve probably forgotten more than you’ve yet learned. That being said, here’s my suggestion to you. Take one day of each week and focus on being what you are. Loving to bring them back is very enjoyable even if it doesn’t pay the bills. There is, however a large audience for the fixer you were. Don’t quit please. You already easily pay bills. Take it from an old fart that some day will be you, woulda, coulda, shoulda goes down hard. ✝️🙏❤️😁👍🏼
