I just replaced all motor mounts and subframe bushings on my moms 03 95 aero. Man oh man! That feels and drives like a brand new car! It’s super smooth. Fell in love with it again

The one mount that stops most of the movement you showed can be found at the dog bone that mounts at the lower transmission at the front driver side, "bottom side" of the car. Also, it is recommended that the wheels be torqued to 90 foot pounds, don't just use an impact gun. Great to see these videos, keep them coming!!

That accessory drive belt was probably one groove off on one of the pulleys.

belt wasn't off at all; it was the idler pulley that shredded it slowly

Just did a lot of this myself. Using the 6PK2425 makes the belt change SOOO much easier. And that mount is crazy expensive! Making great progress tho, keep it up.

Fun stuff. Sorry about the bad luck. Bit of humor: Word is, you should always keep a spare DIC in the trunk on the OG Saabs, in case of sudden failure. Moral of the story: A spare DIC is always handy.

i really like the longer format also that it is more of a how to video is also great. I have two of these cars 2.3t vector and linear, and learning how to work on them is awsome keep it up!!

I had to break the pin on the tensioner as well couldn’t figure it out. A wrench with a built in ratchet and a Torx bit was a huge time save in loosening and tightening the hex bolt.considering I had to remove and it and install a few times when replacing the head gasket. Like the longer videos. Like that you show everything what your doing.

Hey, I really do enjoy these videos and I would like to see more coming on service and fixing up of this particular car. I picked up my Saab 9-5 2.3t Estate 2006 in Birmingham, England yesterday and are currently on the way back to Northern Ireland where I live. I did not want to race against the clock to reach the ferry yesterday so I went on a roadtrip in Lake District and I do love the car. There will be some small cosmetic fixes and I need to give it a good service after I get back home tonight but I am really happy to be behind the wheel of a Saab again (this is my second, previously I had a similar but with the B205 engine). Keep up the good work man!

Great vid. I replaced the radiator on my 2004 9-5. And it looked like it had been leaking transmission fluid also,I put new crush washers on the lines and that fixed the problem

Great in-depth video mate ...well done for getting all that sorted. Keep it up !!! BTW... if I were you I'd change the transmission mount as well as it'll be squished & worn. It's the one under the battery. FYI Lemforder is the OEM manufacturer of that AUTO box mount.

You mentioned replacing the DIC to eliminate some codes. FYI, I went thru 4 of those DICs before I coughed up for the more expensive spark plugs. No more DICs for over 2 years. Use the best plugs.

Check your inner CV joints that could be one leak. I have a 1998 Saab (also 3 more) This one runs great with losing transmission fluid for 5 years and I can not believe it has lasted this long. Truely remarkable engineering. Great video for us Saab owners

You picked a great car to save. I am not a big fan of the 95 sedans, except for the NG95, which I think are some of the most beautiful production cars ever made, but the “estates“ are awesome, and every time I see that beautiful green on that car I get more jealous and angry inside 😹 There are three SAABs in my domain, and they all have the B207‘s. I have to say it’s very interesting watching your experience with these older engines, I’m very curious about them. Thanks!

So... Could you show us how to replace the Crankshaft Position sensor because I cannot find a good video. The code says "Camshaft Position sensor" but no auto part store has it. So I figured I would replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor.

order a new one from esaabparts. i don't have a video on it, but it's not very hard. One T30 torx bolt near the front bottom of the motor

I just bought a 2003 Saab Linear 2.3T wagon for $1000. The belt broke and lot of oil near it. So i cleaned it all up and changed the belt. Next i will replace the Valve cover gasket because a lot of oil seems to have come down from there. Also will do an oil change and replace the Jalouse (watched your video on that). I bought this car just for some local trips here and there but i like that it has 260 HP and flies down the road. Thanks for your videos! Are you keeping your Saab or selling it and if so how much?

Definitely good videos. As more people wake up and grab these, they will find your videos helpful like we have. Can't wait til you bump this up to a stage three??(Hint hint. These are so different than the v6, in a very good way. They are brutal when tuned) Check out Taliaferro Motorsports(genuinesaab) for upgrade parts on this engine. They made my Viggen a monster that will light up both fronts at 45mph without using the clutch pedal, but still very easy to drive.
