Thinking about it more, Soundwave being the new leader of the Decepticons could be an interesting way of calling back to the earliest G1 commercials/Marvel Comics where he was the leader before Megatron was conceived. I was originally thinking Starscream potentially usurping Megatron, likely out of a perceived 'moment of weakness' when he first met Dot and came to understand her values, maybe seeing what he lost in the reason for starting the war (if it goes on a similar basis to Aligned's origins).

Now that we know that Megatron has joined the Autobot cause (as far as we know), I wonder if the Deception Justice Division will get their first TV debut at some point in the future. Tarn technically got featured in Cyberverse not that long ago, but it would be interesting to see some of the other members in action

From the offical synosis of the series this takes place many years after the war is over and given Megatron has a different emblem that isn't the Decepticon one likely he is sort of an Autobot. Also in cons with Soundwave, we got Swindle, Bombshell, Hardtop, Skywarp, Nova Storm and Skullcrusher

Though I think a neutral character is as far as he would go, maybe turning to leading some underground business corporation since because Megatron left the decepticons they no longer have the fire power to rule the world with and thus aren't worth it!

Megatron's laugh made me think he was gonna be voiced by Jeffrey Combs for a second. I got hopes for the show, especially with moments from Cyberverse and Prime where things could get shockingly dark. I feel like this show could have a sudden gut-punch moment where the lighter tone gives way to something suddenly heartbreaking, made all the more impactful by said family friendly build-up. Also I like the G1-looking insecticon. I always liked that colour scheme.

Honestly seeing Megatron not the badguy makes me wonder who is. Starscream or Soundwave could be but they feel too easy. Digging deep for this one, but what about Jhiaxus from the G2 comics. He's tougher than Megs and Prime together and meaner that Megs ever was.

I was completely surprised to see Megatron and Dot as friends and him and the Decepticons now on good terms with the Autobots, maybe they all fought in the war which keeps getting brought up in the bios? I feel like at some point though the Decepticons, maybe not all of them will break the peace between the factions and will probably follow Soundwave?! On the subject of Soundwave I wonder if he is in fact a human built Cybertronian being one of Mandroid’s creations and is designed to take down all of the Transformers on Earth!?

With earthspark soundwave being another jet version of soundwave after cybertron,prime and siege,I think a fitting alt mod for him should be a news van,just like energon/superlink towline(yes,there was an actual character named towline in the energon toyline),since soundwave can communicate and hide and spy so easily with that alt mod,and we really need to see if that random decepticon who looks like energon/superlink snowcat/snowstorm is actually him or just a lookalike, especially since I'm a huge fan of energom designs (yes,I'm an energon designs fan)

Jet's sell though and It is practical for soundwaves character for reconnaissance and espionage and can make a quick escape If he needs to as in g1 even though all decepticons could fly for some reason soundwave couldnt in one episode and he was running away in robot mode and starscream had to pick him up and idk I think a jet or any flying vehicle would really work for soundwave

@@aliteralchad7128 I respect your opinion but I think they can make it work a drone was cool for prime but he was so slender that theres no way a mini bot could fit into him that's why laser beak had to be mounted on his chest I think with the right jet or aircraft they could make it work as soundwave looks like a b2 bomber in earth spark and those things pretty large and well have bombing deck to drop bombs so maybe that's how he can eject them but as much as I love a cassette players only us hardcore fans will buy a soundwave that transformers in a cassette player as kids nowadays hardly even know what an Ipod is nowadays let alone a cassette player but I think soundwave being able to fly is a great for his character because transformers is going into a slightly more realistic way of how transformers fly as they need aircraft alternate mode instead of just having the ability to fly like in g1 and and an aircraft is great for reconnaissance and a quick escape should soundwave be compromised and depending on what aircraft it would have enough bulk for minicons as jets are very large

This trailer definitely made it seem a lot more interesting. A reformed Megatron? Great. Love the voice actor for Dot, the mother. Just the right amount of sass. Also "By all means, resist. It's my favourite part." is a fantastic line. I like what Alan Tudyk is doing with Prime. Hints of Cullen grit but definitely doing his own thing too. And I just read Rory McCann is Megs? Hell yeah. Great delivery on the above line. I am now upgrading my optimistic level from not really, past cautiously and into reasonably.

Definitely going to be interesting. I remember being so disappointed when nothing came of tfp Megatron disbanding the Decepticons, I do still hold a little hope that maybe one day tfp will be revisited after Predacons Rising, maybe something similar to how we technically do have Animated season 4 just not produced in tv form. But with Earthspark overall I'm still very hesitant, mainly because of the wfc trilogy. I loved Cyberverse but to have such a drastic decline in quality with the wfc trilogy is honestly scary. Just saying my expectations are very low, so hopefully it'll be great.

Just a random list of who I think I saw 0:02 Scraplets? 0:07 That has to be Wheeljack 0:10 The colors seem off, but from the face and wings, maybe that is Slipstream? 0:34 The bot in the foreground is definitely Elita-1, but the one in the background, perhaps Kickback? 0:36 This to me looks like Blast Off or perhaps Vortex, although the lack of backpack makes it a little be murky. Certainly a Combaticon. 0:40 This has to be Thundercracker. 0:41 Arcee 0:55 Its only there for a brief moment, and to me it looks like either a battle truck or a fire truck. Perhaps Heatwave?

I find it hard to imagine Soundwave being against Megatron, not in a single universe, not under any circumstance. The only one that can kind off work is Soundwave watching his fellow high class bots killing all the slaves lead by Megatron before the war, because they rebelled, and choosing to lose his status to protect the weak. Then, millions of years later, he's in the same situation, but instead of high class bots, it's Megatron killing autobots who rebell, in the same way, mercilessly, and understanding that he just swapped the people, not the system, so he protects those bots and attacks Megs.

I imagine that Soundwave feels deeply betrayed.... in most incarnations (but not Animated as I don't recall him joining Megatron) he's a very loyal soldier and not afraid to put himself in harm's way to defend Megatron. Now he's clinging to the Decepticon cause even though fighting has decimated the transformer species.

I've noticed the est and I know it may have been Jake Tillman who broke the cycle but with Alan Tudyk now voicing Optimus it does now break the cycle of having Canadian actors voicing Optimus Prime

I hope this is a show that venture a litle bit too the gritty side like prime if it goes further than a season 2 i like they are trying new things as well. ( EDIT ) I wanna see soundwave stronger as well since if Megs is good he might let his guard down more.
