MVP in my German army is the Skdfz 250/9 with a light AC it is my small team hunter. Snipers and most importantly spotters and FOO's especially when they are in buildings. Combine it whit recce moves its a fun unit!

Oioi SP another good tactical vid mate, I enjoyed a good run down on the AC Meta, not that I want to use but to try and challenge myself to defeat as well as AT defense. 🤔 I am intrigued with recent use of a Marder3😉 it gave me ideas as well as use of a Brummbar 🤔

Some very good points.... glad I didn't glue the top plates on my SdKfz 221's so I can swap them for 222's when I have the points available!... may be adding a 251 Drilling to my Panzerlehr too!

I think we'll eventually see people realise that artillery platoons are the solution to autocannon spam. Zis 3s and 25pdrs are excellent guns with multiple roles, capable of dealing with vehicles and infantry. Germans get cool tech they can mix in platoons like nebelwerfers and panzerbuchse 41s (41s are seriously undervalued by players right now), to create platoons capable of taking on infantry and light autocannon spam. An inex neb and an inex 41 is under 80 points combined, and only a little more to make the 41 regular. Even basic light AT can knock out these armoured cars with autocannons and they're cheap to field in numbers. AT guns are the tank killers in 3rd edition, like they were in the real war. AT rifles lack stopping power, howitzers don't pin as well any more, autocannons don't pen armour 9+ very well, fausts, bazookas and panzerschrecks are expensive, short ranged and hard to hit with on the move. Meanwhile even an inex AT gun is hitting on a 4+ as long as it's targeting a vehicle. People just need to get good at using ambushes and group activations.

I think you are dead on, particularly regarding the zis and 25, multirole weaponry is definitely the way forward regarding the mixed bag of units that most lists contain.

I was shooting with my 222 in Point Blank Rage with his 2 Autocannon shots^^ I truly fell in love with the German MMG Motorcylce with Beiwagen yesterday. I brought 2 of them. Man I should get my Hands on that Vierlingsgeschütz on a Truck. Or a Wirbelwind, Ostwind.

Quad autocannons are still disgusting. A wirbelwind can basically one-shot a regular squad. I'm not as fond of the MMG bike/jeep now they get less shots.

@@WaltonSauce Well, 40p, 4 Shots, Small, Fast with Reccy. It was a delight! Never fielded a Quad Autocannon, but I can Imagine how broken that thing is.... Like in Saving Private Ryan: "FLAK 22!!!!" But Its time to play the Cheese Stuff^^ hahahah BRing out the Brumbärs and Ferdinands!

Yeah man I think that's what the reeeally cool kids do 😂 Yeah I've actually had really good performance from a pair of bikes, both times that I've tried it! They should be worse but something about V3, they just sneak around haha I think once you start taking multiple autocannons on a single mounting, you have to go vehicle not ground, otherwise it's just mortar bait! Love a flakverling but it's too juicy a target haha

Check the Kugelblitz.... I guess that Badboy was sporting 2 heavy Autocanns (4 shoot?) I need a Fllkvierling on a Truck... Is also super cheap. And a Neb on a Truck. I think I have Horch Car..... I should put a vierling on that!

Kugelblitz is on the wishlist for sure! I am getting a couple of "technicals" for my partisans actually, as they only have to take unreliable armoured vehicles, the soft skins they capture work just fine! Haha quadcannons on trucks and freedom fighters is the classic combo after all!

I've always been a fan of light armored vehicles with light auto cannons and my friend's Italian Breda has wreaked it's share or havoc on my Australians. Haven't tried the heavy autocannon yet, but it's on my "to get" list.

@@TheKenthor They've always been super cool, if not massively effective, there has been so many winners to the streamlining of the shooting rules and it's great to see some of my favourite units being effective on tabletop that's for sure mate!

@@Archydoge Hi mate, good question. I think it is certainly inevitable that we will face more lists like this in V3, I've run one myself and it was quite effective. However I think it's not as much of a problem as it appears on the surface. Pins are less impactful and easier to get rid of, with good use of platoon commanders and learning when is best to take the time to rally and take a defensive stance for a turn, the FO spam can end up being a bit of a damp squib!

Can you confirm where in the rules it says Autocannons get the Anti-tank gun +1? On page 96 under Anti-tank gun it only lists Anti-tank guns (light through super heavy). I can't find it in the rules, faq or errata.

The Americans can field a half track with a heavy auto cannon and 2 hmgs, which is incredibly lethal to infantry and light armor

autocannons on vehicles are the cancer of v3 and the biggest reason i find this edition absolutely terrible. you need a ton of AT to deal with all the vehicles and they shred your infantry in seconds... all the jazz about being able to build more interesting lists is just placebo, since you pay half of your points as tax to counter sh** like that. which leaves you with not enough points to build interesting lists

You need veteran infantry, armour 9+ tanks, AT guns (even light AT guns work) and cover.
