Yours is the only channel which gives an accurate description of vibrations from a bike along with the rev range, gear and speed and how manageable or not it really is. Most others either never mention it or largely downplay it. Shows how genuine you guys are in giving us a proper opinion without absolutely any bias or favours to the manufacturers. Like also not making a big deal of the missing usd forks, which in fact is not a big deal with the price and other things on offer. Because its a bigass long stroke, its going to vibrate. He said the unpleasant vibes comes at 110kmph. Meaning the vibes before that are something that is just to be expected and pleasant enough to most people. Think of it like vibrations in newer royal enfields. Its not electric, ofc its going to have some vibration, but u need to distinguish between pleasant and unpleasant vibrations.

@@fieryspy6414 RE classic 350 has bore x stroke of 72 x 85.8 and Honda 350 has 70 x 90, that's almost 14mm and 20mm longer stroke compared to x440 with only a 9mm long stroke at 79.6 x 88.4. So it's not really such a big ass LONG stroke. Despite being the longest stroke, Honda 350 is the smoothest. So peace brother 😉 no need to be fiery

Other channels havent described yet because these were PRE PRODUCTION Bikes. Some had vibrations, some were super smooth. Ig autocar india felt a bit childish here to downright give a firm opinion on a yet for production bike and tricking buyer as if this will be the final product

@@anujartt so ok, I figure you must've got this info from shumi this morning from motorinc, I too saw that. Let's see how the final product is. I have seen several others also mention vibes on this bike but did not elaborate, and that's why I complimented Autocar. I know shumi can be biased about vibes once he starts liking a bike and giving benefit of doubt to pre production bikes usually doesn't work for engines; quality, fit and finish can improve, inherent vibes don't change as they originate from deep down the power plant. Let's wait for March then, peace 😉

No Front USD forks might be an issue for many, but I am very angry at the fact that Hero didn't develop the platform with a rear mono suspension. It becomes very crucial for such a heavy bike, especially for people who are just upgrading from commuter bikes. Btw, anyone thinks that this looks like the Honda CB300R minus the rear monoshock???

Tried both. I felt that Mavrick has more vibrations compared to X440 at normal city speeds (40-60kmph) as well. But the thing is , at those speeds, the vibrations die down after 5-6 seconds, the company claims the vibrations arise because due to the BS6 engine. At 100+, any bike of that torque and CC will generate vibrations. It's all about how adjustable you can be with those vibrations. If you can't, then bikes below 250 CC are always advisable.

I testdrove the Himalayan-452, His Royal HiNess 350, Hero Maverick 440 on same day for 6 kms each(on different terrains). I honestly felt that all 3 bikes are GOOD for the genre they are designed for. Himalayan for PErformance, HiNess for Universality, Maverick for affordability. I am not a FAN of comparing one against the other. You buy the bike for what you expect out of it, Period.

I think speed 400 makes more sense. More power and torque, rbw, usd and mono shock, better swing arm all for just 9k more than top spec and amazing fit and finish. Also triumph badge... But if you like Harley styling it's not a bad one either. If you really looking for an off road then only himalayan make sense

Guys hero service center is using local branded engine oil from unknown company called savitha oil company based in navi mumbai and on the top of it, they are charging Rs 2700. Guys if we use premium engine oil like motul 7100 15w50 or liquid molly synthetic engine oil 15w50 both should of quantity 2.5 litres. Then it will reduce handle bar and foot peg vibration and engine heating upto 80 % . Try it and feel the difference. Bike is not the bad performer. Engine oil is the main culprit Guys.

100 to 110 kmph is the best speed to cruise on Indian roads, you may ride at 140, 150, or even at 160kmph for sometimes or couple of times between the whole distance. But to constantly cruise, 100 to 110 is the most you wanna do and this bike gives you this speed very easily and smoothly.

After 1200kms my mavrick 440 is getting vibrations throughout the rev range. It used to be beyong 4000rpm, but now Its intolerable. I hope all mavrick owners come forward and complain about this.

The only issue about the pricing of this bike is that it's top model comes at around 2.6 lac on road and at the same time the Triumph speed 400 with much much more premium components comes at around 2.7 lac onroad which is about only 10k more but you're getting golden USD forks, mono shock, more powerful engine, lot more premium parts, fit and finish and the premium brand name itself, for just 10k more. This is what makes this motorcycle a little confusing to recommend. The only better aspect is it's service and parts availability being a Hero and the Triumph being rare in India. That's the only deciding factor to lean towards this bike, otherwise the Triumph is a lot more motorcycle than this, by adding only 10k more.

What I want to know is that does ot look like a proper big bike as a tourer, may be not as big as classic 350 or Honda highness but is it considered a comparatively bigger bike than those common motorcycles like pulsar, apache, FZ, R15 mt15 etc?? Especially the size of the steel pipe frame. Are they big in diameter as the ones on Royal Enfield bikes. I believe the wheelbase is also quite long as wheel base of bigger bikes at 1388mm. That big road presence is very important for me if I am going to buy one of these. I am not very tall or big in size but i feel like most bikes are small to actually look cool when I sit. Even the meteor 350 looks small when I sit on it and it doesn't look very nice. When I see small people riding meteor, it looks way way more cool. The bike looks like a big crusier when a smaller guy of around 5.6 or 5.7 or shorter guy rides it. It doesn't look nice when a taller person rides it as the size of the bike is not pronounced well enough.

Please i request to all Hero company's engineers that to show your talent to enhance the maverick 440 bike's meter console.. or if you are not able to make it then get a technology from TVS.. For me I have made a decision not to try anything with Hero. Their most dependable horse in the stable- hero super splendor has given me a lot of headache and taken away confidence from riding. Vibrations has always been the Bane of Hero. Vibrations, stalling, sensors failure these have been the hallmarks of anything that hero has delivered in the bs6 range. Just like the new Karizma that didn't generate enough steam this too will bite the dust.

Honestly though 440cc and still isn't safe for reaching 140 kmph and it's not worth it , With such a big engine (for Indian standards) high speed cruising limit should be a little high , as even Hero's other products 200cc and 210cc can reach 120kmph with less price than this .

Why not give dual cylinder engine in this kind of displacement? I don't understand companies, people are now capable enough to pay upto 3 lac for motorbikes, even the middle class can then why not dual cylinders engine in that price segment? It seems hero designers were too high while designing front and lost their kick coming at rear design. The rear looks disproportionate and those wires are not neatly tucked. The only good part of the bike is the superb engine.

Hero have 125cc engines,so,it should fuse 2 125cc engines and make a 250cc parallel twin like autoengina did,with bigger oil cooler to cool the engine. Benelli,Kawasaki already have parallel twin 25cc bikes,then why I dian manufacturers are still hanging to these single cylinders.... They should give the taste of twin cylinders to Indians and they already have good market in Africa too,so,they should extend their research towards this aspect and bring out affordable and stylish twin cylinder 250cc bikes...... Do not know why Indian manufacturers do not listen to their customers.....

Hero Do not have capability to sell and service premium bikes, pathetic customer support, they sold me defective bike and last 9 months only doing break fix. 1 - Bike lean toward left immediately you release your hands from both handles. 2 - Application is pathetic connectivity issue with multiple mobiles, and no support. 3 - Handel wobbling above 65Km, not able fix the issue. 4 - Right side handle is closer to tank, then left sides while driving it look like driving in wrong direction. 5 - Most important world worst customer service and support. 6 - Stock tires are pathetic, I don't know who was the stupid engineer it is not been tested for wet road with wet mud./ experience rider will be able to handle it, but still dangerous. Only good thing about bike is easy handling city, and as per engine capacity average is decent 33Km/ ltr in city and highway 40 - 45 Km/ltr depending on riding style.
