gixxer is a great bike but there are some issues with it like ground clearence and pillion seat comfort.unicorn was never marketed as a street sport bike...the youngsters may not like it but a large chunk of our population prefers commuter type bikes.

A commuter 160 vs a sport 160? Only Autocar can do this level of Chutiyapa :D The real rival for the Gixxer and FZ is the Hornet 160R

This comparison is more likely an advertisement of Gixxer. Not that Gixxer is not good, it is actually very good. But the acceleration of Unicorn is really punchy enough to beat Gixxer with ease. It would be better if they had actually tested a full throttle drag race. Unicorn has a super smooth engine with really very tall gear ratios. Though there is a certain stiffness while shifting gears at times. I know well enough that 'my' gixxer is only a few milliseconds slower, but it's gear shifting is precise. The ride posture, the dynamics, the style quotient and the road grip is Gixxer's forte. My friends 'unicorn 160' feels too smooth to ride, you can't even tell if the engine is actually working when driving between 40-60 km/hr. My friend calls it 'Silent Killer'. If you actually want a butter smooth noisefree bike, Unicorn 160. But at end of the day, you can't tell which one is better, leave it to the audience. This clearly felt like a biased comparison. Both bikes have their own merits and demerits, which won't count in real life conditions as both of them are equally capable. I feel i should have bought Unicorn and my friend has the same impression on my Gixxer. Both are exceptional performers.

The quality of material in Honda is tough and hard quality of fiber used in unicorn is better than gixxer. Practically Unicorn is best for all class people

I have been using unicorn 160. Gives good mileage , good pickup, smoother engine. but parts availability is difficult for this bike, if you are city commuter then fine, but urban and rural don't go for this.

Unicorn 160 is the best bike and from the assured company honda.. The maintenance of the suzuki gixxer is high compared to unicorn and also the parts are not available of suzuki any bikes. It's a good bike but u can't compare it with the unicorn 160 👑

Furqan Ahmed After 20 months of use, I can definitely say, it is one of the best bikes in its class. From my experience i'll list out a few pros n cons: Pros: 1) great fuel efficiency: I'm getting around 52 kmpl on city roads 2) Engine and braking performance are superb 3) It can accommodate two adult pillion riders comfortably 4) Good pickup Cons: 1) Rear monoshock suspension is not that great: you will feel it when you go on long rides 2) average looks Overall, it's a good bike to buy and it's worth the money

i bot d unicorn 160 finally aftr testin both unicorn nd gixxer . uni is a simple commuter bike wid loads of power nd decent stylin nd comfort fr both rider nd pillion also gud mileage uptill now. But if u r lukin only fr performance nd sporty luk go fr gixxer. But biggest drawbck of gixxer is pillion discomfort nd luks small for ppl wid heavy built nd height.

Unicorn appeals to all age group...It is comfortable for a small family with a kid. A man like me in mid 30s can drive a good looking commuter but gixer just not for me. I need a bike to go to office, take my family out. Once in 3 months I will do a long bike trip that too no a way a race. How many of the KTMs, FZs, Gixer users are racing? They are just making nuisance in road with their reckless speed

only heavy bikes with long wheelbase are comfortable over bumps and pathholes, that must for indian roads. stupid honda reduced wheelbase and can't fit wide tyres either. look wise old cb unicorn is still more attractive.

mahbuburrahman rifat Both bike are designed from completely different class of people. Gixxer is meant for younger crowd. Therefore it is designed to look and feel more sporty whereas unicorn is meant for more mature class of people and is therefore designed in that manner. A 60 year old Uncle will look odd riding a gixxer but he will not look odd riding a Unicorn. Its really stupid to compare these two bikes. It is fair to compare gixxer and yamaha fz because both fall in the same segment.
