I used that radio from 1957 through 1958, I was in Germany and we lived in 4 story high barracks, when we had Alerts I had to carry that monster down 4 floors to the truck, then I had to go back up and get the batteries and carry them down to the truck.. we used to call it the pin ball machine because of the way it changed frequencies and loaded up automatically to our antenna. the original OA2 tubes are radio active if broken. 73
