What a beautiful example. I can only imagine the $$ spent on that motor. I'd love to see a much longer video completely focused on every detail of that engine and transaxle!

Man, I just about shat myself when you said 2.8 liter! What a masterpiece build... I would dare to say "a dream bug"! I'm new to this aircooled world but I would venture to guess 100k wouldn't be enough to build that. Beautiful!

@@volkstroke I've had creative car craft fiberglass fenders on a bug. Amazing quality. Assuming creative car craft supplied the bumpers too? I meant the bumpers to widen. Can you widen them to match the widened fenders?

@@volkstroke ok cool. Is it possible to widen them. Cut off the ends and weld on an extension. Great car btw. Great build.

Where can you get that teflon hose and do they sell a kit to put the ends on? Looks clean and honestly I'm not looking to have a fire as that is what ruins most aircooled cars if people arent careful. We need to preserve as many as we can.

So, how wide is that resr tire and what did it take to fit it under the fender?
@volkstroke7 ай бұрын
It’s got wide fenders that’s why idk how big that is but it’s a way to do it I rather narrow the rear torsion than deform the bug
@ddk56vw7 ай бұрын

I find it hilarious you guys are ragging on "old skhool" braided line and this car is running CARBS and a distributer! hAHAHAHA. Welcome to the 21st century bros. Why no FI? Just bustn' balls but it is funny. It's not a pretty cool car, it's a VERY cool car!
@volkstroke3 жыл бұрын
Because fuel injected cars have no nostalgia and make no more power than my carburetor set up but all that changes when introducing power adderes witch I did recently and I am in the process of building a fueltech nitrous injected VW that will set a new standard
@ocavant3 жыл бұрын
@@volkstroke ha ha OK. Well then, you should use rubber braided hose for nostalgia sake. Regardless, of induction choice, it is a quality car no doubt. Congrats to the builder/owner. Good luck with the new build.
