Great video. Could you put the ft. lbs. for those of us accross the pond? That would be great. Thanks for your tutorials, very well done.

According to the Lexus workshop manual, the carrier bolts (17s) should be torqued to 78Nm. Is it possible you used the wrong units?

thank you what lubricant spray are you using to change brakes?
@autodocuk10 ай бұрын
We use universal brake cleaner for cleaning and we use ATE mounting paste for mounting the pads as well we recommend using ceramic lubricant for the hub area.

What happens if you do not remove those ABS relays?

I changed the brakes on my daughters 07 rx400h and afterwards could not press the brake pedal hard enough to bring the car to a full stop. This was an R-title and the previous owner said there was only light damage to the hood that required its replacement, but whoever did the repairs replaced the ABS fuse box cover with one that didn't fit properly and there is a lot of corrosion in it. I replaced both ABS relays but it didn't help. How hard would it be to change that fuse box? Any other suggestions? Thanks

We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic. AUTODOC

Why didn't you mention to align the hole on the disc to the handbrake spindle before installing it onto the hub? Big problem when trying to remove the disc when the handbrake is binding...ask me how I know.😂

Thank you for your valuable clarification. Your feedback is very important for us to understand how to demonstrate in more detail in new videos. Best Regards, Autodoc team

I'm just about to do the discs on mine, could you clarify what hole and why it needs aligning? Thanks
@95countach3 жыл бұрын
@@craigwalker5032 Only done on the rear discs. There is a 3/4" hole in between 2 of the tire mounting bolts. Make sure to align the hole with the parking brake adjustment spindle. It looks like a small sprocket or cowboy spurs. That hole allows you to stick a screwdriver in there to turn the sprocket and release the parking brake enough to remove the disc rotor. Good luck!
