The first generation California never really appealed to me, but this second generation seems to have been improved greatly. It is now a true sports car. I like the new looks as well. Well done Ferrari!

You all need to hear the car in person before making an opinion on the sound. I've driven it and it sounds great. The interior is top notch, it rides like heaven, it pulls hard when you put your foot down and all this with the top dropped. I actually quite like this car.

I hope in real life you can hear a little bit of the turbo whistle. I mean, cmon, half the fun of turbos is hearing the spool up! In the end, Ferrari took an awesome car and made it that much better. Really excited to see one of these up close in person soon.

It's no secret that Ferrari V8 sound quite like high revver inline 4's, like some Honda VTEC's. Do you even realize Ferrari V8's sound very different from most other V8's, like Mercs, Audi's and even BMW's?

I like the look of this better than the original and other updates like the suspension are good to hear. My favorite thing about my 360 Spider, though, is the sound. The Cali isn't bad but just not the same as normally aspirated.

I miss the old NA California already. I predict the first California will start appreciating. Just like the BMW 1 series M. When it was out, everybody said, "oh, it's so ugly. It's not as cool as the M3. blah blah blah." Now some low mileage cars are worth more than they were new. In any case, it's worth a lot more than the m3. The California was a rare breed. We have plenty of front engine turbo charged GT coupes. The M6. The SL63. And if you prefer a supercharger, there's a CTS-V coupe, Jaguar XKR-S, ect. Goodbye California, you will be missed.

i really like this car, except im distracted by the noise it makes. I'm sorry to say it, but it sounds like a 4 cylinder. They need to sharpen up the exhaust note and the rev limit to maybe 8000 to 8500, because the engine noise isn't exciting or dramatic.

So why is the California Ferrari's best seller? is it because people want to own a Ferrari but cant afford a 458? I heard there are much better GT cars out there for much less, like the Maserati GranTurismo or Mercedes Benz SL-Class.

The 458 and the California are made for two entirely different types of customers. People who want more of a cruiser car and don't care about having the fastest, loudest car (like me) go with a California. People who do care for speed and sound go with a 458. Most 458 "fans" would probably never want a Cali and most Cali "fans" would probably never want a 458. If I had the choice between these two cars and money was not a problem, I would go with a California and that's the reason that Ferrari created the California: to attract a new set of customers who would otherwise never buy a Ferrari

I have the 2014 Cal 30 with HS package. I love the car. Not near as torquieee as the Turbo T, but both are great fun cars. My 2014 was $243k with options.. this not an entry level car!!!

Sorry Ferrari, this car sounds terrible. It sounds wimpy and congested. And when are they going to re-design their interiors? All of the Ferrari instrument clusters look cheap, haphazard, and cartoonish. They've all looked the same for going on 15 years now. They could, and should, learn something from the Lamborghini Huracan. Now there's an interior that looks the part of a $200k sports car.
