Hi CC B! Yep if incorrectly wired it is possible (by default it comes with a cigarette lighter plug which is the safest way to install it) However I know some installers will hardwire it directly to the car which allows the owner to leave the lights one indefinitely (potentially draining the battery if they forget to turn them off). Hi Isaac! the same techniques I showed on the video can be applied on a different vehicle like the Camaro. Some cars are easier than others and also depending on the placement some panels will have to be removed and in some cases they won't have to. The best recommendation I can give you is to scout the car for the areas you want the lights to be on and then determine the difficulty on getting the lights there, depending on the amount of labor required the installer may suggest alternate places to keep the cost down or continue with the requested location if labor cost is not an issue. But it really comes down to how much time someone wants to spend installing it (how much of the car will be opened up) and also how much detail to put on it (I seen very quick good looking installs just one or two strips) and I seen extensive installs that taken days with multiple kits installed so the sky is the limit when modding a car with RGB lighting. Out of curiosity I saw that the floor ambient light and the led strips were made by separate manufacturers, is the app that the use/blue tooth they use link the two together or the same application? May be something you’ve touched up on but I didn’t see anything regarding it rewatching both videos, In the first you said they just linked up what was that process by chance?

Hi Leviti! correct you can technically mix and match some components since the APP that a lot of this RGB kits use is a generic RGB LED app. Regarding linking them, this is all done by app automatically when you pair each LED bar to the your phone. I may make a video on the APP if there is enough requests for this but for the most part is very easy to use and self explanatory. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hi Cool! There are several ways an installer will feed the fiber into the trim of the car. One way is like the shown in the video by just tucking them into the panels, the other is by drilling a hole in each panel for the fiber to come thru. Hi Alan! I think the price will vary depending on how much work and detail you want the installer into the installation. In one hand the kit can be installed fairly quickly on the easy spots of the car keeping install cost down on the other end the installer can go all out and put lights in the more difficult places of the car increasing cost. I would recommend getting a couple quotes so you can decide on the best price and which knowledgeable installer you decide to use. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Yeah for the most part most cars inside panels separate that easily (makes production at the factory faster) However some cars do have tricky panels where if the installer is not careful the panel can be damaged in the removal process or where the panel is difficult to reinstall. So for those cases or luxury cars installers will charge an extra fee to cover that extra labor. Cheers!

So far I have not heard of a sensor that can wired to have it come on based on daylight and nightlight (would probably have to be to some type of photoelectric sensor) but I imagine it may be possible for an advanced installer to do this. Most will only connect it as mentioned earlier, to either come on and off with the car or they could be controlled additionally with a switch or the App (for those desiring manual control). If I ever do see an install using a ambient light sensor I will update this comment for you. Cheers!

Hi Ray! If your cigaretter lighter plug turns off and on when you turn on and off you car, then yes the lights will come on and off with the car. If your cigaretter lighter socket stays on all the time (even when the car is off) then the lights have to be turned off manually with the switch in the power plug or by unplugging the power adapter. Hi Lakha! I would recommend you check your local laws and regulations to confirm if there are any restrictions in your area regarding interior lighting. How did you feed the cable to get to the sides?

Hi Briska! From the bottom (most car are open on the bottom part of the foot well area, so normally I can guide the cable up using my hand and catch it at the top and in very tight cases I physically lay in the footwell so I can see the direction I'm feeding the cable too. Cheers!

Hi Richard! I think is like any hobby, if it makes you happy and you enjoy it, then people will spend time and money on it (regardless of how silly the hobby seems to others that are not into it) But yes I agree it's definitely important to check your state laws for interior lighting, while BMW and other luxury car brands already include this style of interior lighting (on higher trims) it's always best to play it safe and double check before adding it to your car. The drill method is optional, as I explained in the video, it just depends on the look you are trying to achieve and how much detail the installer wants to put in the installation (some prefer to bring the fiber optic cable from under the panels, other prefer to drill holes for cable) Cheers!

Hi Michael! If it was installed with the cigarette lighter adapter, the lights can be turned off with switch on the adapter or using the App. If the lights were hardwired, the installer could have installed a secondary switch to control the lights, or he could have connected them to stay on when the car is On or he could have connected them to stay on all time. Hi Tbrick! If your cigaretter lighter port turns off and on when you turn on and off you car, then the RGB kit will come on and off with the car (so it will not drain you car battery, this is how mine is setup). And if your plug is always on even when the car is off then you will have to turn off the lights manually with the power button on the power adapter or using one of this one amzn.to/3BofzJI to control the lighter port manually and ensure the lights turn off and not drain your car battery. I have a problem when I fix the light color to blue and turn off the car and then come back and start the engine, the lights automatically become like a disco. Why does this happen?

Hi WDKLO! That is strange, it should not do that, mine remembers the last setting I left on. I would recommend contacting your installer of the lights manufacturer for tech support, they may be able to walk you thru some trouble shooting steps. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi FrankBeanieWeenie! If using the cigarette lighter adapter, it shouldn't drain your battery (assuming your cigarette lighter port turns off when the car is off) Regarding other issues, while I have not had issues with mine, there is always an inherent risk when adding an aftermarket device to a car. Either installation can go wrong or the device can fail or some other latent failure may occur down the road. I know this may sound like an exaggeration but the example I give to people is that I had a friend who installed an aftermarket stereo on his car. Well the car caught on fire a few days later, and while it could have been the install, it could have also been the device or as my friend says maybe it was unrelated but just coincidence. So that is definitively something to keep in mind when deciding to upgrade your vehicle with aftermarket accessories. Hope this helps, Cheers!
