I used to use the Instant Dressing but tried the Tyre Gel and stuck with it. The Instant Tyre dressing faster to apply and leaves a high gloss finish when left to dry, however it gets used up quickly and isn't as long lasting as the gel. The gel produces a very nice gloss and is much more durable. Plus the gel lasts me a lot longer than the instant tyre dressing. I used to go through the instant tyre dressing very quickly, but the gel easily lasts me 6+ months with application every 2 weeks or so, hence it's much more ecinomical. As always whichever one you use, the most important thing is giving a good scub to the tyre wall beforehand with a tyre cleaner, that way the product can adhere well to the tyre and give you the best results and longevity.

If you leave the instant to just dry naturally after spraying without rubbing it in it will leave a much better shine

@@devilinthedetailing8975 Have you tried using Red 7 on your alloys?

Best way to apply the Instant Tyre Dressing is by spraying it onto a cloth first then wiping it around the tyre, that way you don't get any mess at all and you get a much better finish

I've got both as well. I agree the gel is better. My tyres are only a few months old and come up with a deep glossy shine with the gel. I like those waffle applicator, I'll be getting some. Cheers dude.

Instant dressing is ideal for those who want glossy or satin finish in one apply, as they can choose not to sponge or brush the surface. Gel also gives this option but 2nd apply will need. I'd go with gel though as I don't like removing overspray and I know that I'll use all of the 500ml :D Thanks for the nice video

Cheers for the insight bud, I prefer the gel for pretty much the same reason I hate the overspray and I like to use my applicator to get a nice even finish

So many people use the instant tyre shine incorrectly. Spray sparingly. Leave to dry until all the milky substance has disappeared. That is it. No applicator needed. Don't touch it. Let it dry! The gel is amazing too. I use both!

Sorry if that sounded rude lol. Just saying you can get such a different result if used correctly. I leave mine to dry over night on my own car. At a push you might get a tiny collection on the inside of the tyre at 6 o'clock the next morning. Hope this helps

Instant tyre dressing is really messy but it leaves a good shine that lasts awhile, I used it like 5 times and it's running empty 😬 I ordered some tyre gel and I'll see how good it is for me

How are you doing with the tyre gel?

I prefer the Instant tyre dressing as it's clean and simple to apply, I find Gel far too messy on the brush or applicator and definitely need gloves

I found the tyre gel was the best put a little in a container and apply with a brush goes on no problem and I go for the shine 😀👍

Have been using high performance tyre gel, it's ok Lasts about a week, but just don't like the gooey application. Want to dry something new now

brother you wanna get some better tyres than landsail, had them on mine and were terrible and legit dangerous. I'd go so far as to call them ditchfinders

Silicone and petroleum products are allegedly bad for tyres.

You didn't seem to put much pressure on the waffle thing, was that on purpose? Do you get different results if you work it in harder? Cheers lad :)
@devilinthedetailing89753 жыл бұрын
It was on purpose, you don't need any pressure at all the products spreads really easily and applying pressure wouldn't change the finish, if you leave it to dry you get gloss or wipe don't after application for a more matte look, hope that helps

Instant tyre dressing all day long for me. I don't like the sticky residue that gel tyre shines leave when the shine starts to fade. I apply mine by spraying some in an old cup and brush it on. Can't fault the finish tbh.

Ah good tip I think I'll have to give that a blast

Good tip, thanks. I sprayed it on my tyres and it's so runny it poured all over my alloys. Sprayed it on a cloth and the cloth just soaked it up.
