I started off with Endurance and liked it until i discovered Perl. That was my go to until Serum came along. As you said, get a decent base layer down and keep it topped up - it looks fantastic and the tyres look brand new. Those bridgestones in the video seem to dress really nicely (my wide has them on her car) and definitely benefit from the serum

Exactely the same here. First Enduance (it stays wet and never dries completely), then Perl 1:1 (still like the Perl) and then GT.

Hello Heather,I've used Megs Endurance Gel for a while now and found it brilliant to use,I will have give the GT tyre one a go.the Auto Finesse is another one to try.

I’ve used GT Tyre Serum for nearly 12 months and the standout thing about it for me is the ease of use week after week. The tyres stay cleaner so I no longer have to scrub the tyres with a stiff brush and APC which isn’t good for a tyre. I just give a quick wipe with the wheel mitt and wheel shampoo while I clean the wheels. Loads of dressings look great on application so it’s the user experience of Tyre Serum that does it for me.
@AutoCareHQ3 жыл бұрын
Completely agree, I think it’d be hard to move away from it now!

Super video Heather, liked the GT tyreserum and Gtechniq T1, currently using either Infinity wax tyre coat v2 or ODK attire. The tyre coat is sio2 based with a water carrier system and tends to leave a semi gloss finish that lasts a couple of weeks but happy enough to apply it again. ODK attire is similar to Gtechniq T1 and lasts a fair while too. Great info imparted from this video mo doubt, lovig you work and lok forward to more in depth reviews.

Thanks very much Phil! I've just bought a sample of IW tyre coat so I'm looking forward to trying that one. I'm a bit gutted I've pretty much run out of Gtechniq T1, that was my go-to for the first year of owning my car. Works really well on trim too. I'm tempted to pick up another bottle but Stjarnagloss Gummi, looks like a good one to try next

Brilliant review Heather and fair testing I used the GT Tyre Serum myself i like how it looks when on and the tyres are not that hard to clean after it. I also have used Autoglym tyre gel it isnt to bad as well.
@AutoCareHQ3 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! The look of the GT Tyre Serum is spot on for me, I know some prefer the glossier look though I think it depends a lot on the tyre design as well though sometimes

Another great comparison video. I've tied Megs Endurance, but found it to be way to glossy for my linking, also Car Pro Perl as favoured by quite a few people below. It didn't last at all, but TBH my prep may not have been as good as it could've been. I'm about to try GT Tyre serum which I'm highly anticipating. Keep up the good work, loving it

I gave up on any product which disappeared at the first sign of rain.... tried quite a few but I'm on the GT tyre serum now as it's longevity for me is the winner. Plus when you've put 2 layers on and keep applying over the weeks I've found the tyre serum just gets better and better.....it takes a real battering with hundreds of miles of motorway miles between wash downs. I would also say its application with the Carscope brush is more consistent and a damn sight easier too.... BTW....I'm going to try the Carscope tyre dressing soon too....
@AutoCareHQ3 жыл бұрын
I'm quite tempted to get that Carscope tyre brush, looks like it'd be very useful. I'm a fan of the finish of their tyre dressing so I'd be interested to here your thoughts on it once you've tried it!

@@AutoCareHQ it's a dinky brush but the bristle are so tight that nothing dribbles into them when you apply dressing on top.. But the bristles are great for getting into the raised mouldings and for right up against the rim protector ring too....

Have moved from Megs Endurance Gel to CarPro Perl. Another one you might like to try is 'Tyre Slik' - it is stupid cheap and I really think it works very well for the price, 15 quid for 5L in Halfords! Dont be tempted by the spray can version, it works a million times better when brushed on. Another great video!

Interesting video. I’ve seen some detailers go beyond cleaning the rubber and before application you heat up the tires with a hair dryer to open up the rubber a bit for the dressing to stick. And yes over here across the pond we say tire not tyre! 😉

Great video Heather! For my taste, the Megs Endurance Gel looks the greatest out of the bunch. I used CarPro Perl 1:1 in most cases, and that does reasonably well, but I tried Autoglym High Performance Tire Gel a few months ago, that is very similar to Megs Endurance Gel. Since than, that is my go to tyre dressing. I don't like the application (very messy), but the water behaviour is very very good, durability is alright and it has a nice glossier finish which I prefer. Great job with the content, as always 🙌

Nice video champ! Im more of a matte tire kinda guy, or just barely satin, mostly for vehicles with a lot of angular design, sports cars, or trucks which adds that stealthy look to it. I feel glossy is nice for some vehicles, but kinda gives it a cheap or toy car look, not all, but some vehicles that dont have a lot of exterior design to it. Overall, nice review ma dude! Keep up the work! ;)

Interesting video. Tyre dressings are annoying! I haven't used anything that has taken my breath away. I hate blingy, glossy dressings and sticky gel type dressings also so I'm a bit fussy. I use auto finesse satin as the finish is lovely, and easy to work with and a creme type substance. And I got an infinity wax product called tyre candy which is similar. But neither last well. Thanks Matthew! I think they'd be fairly similar to be honest. I've used the megs, gtechniq and car chem ones for at least a few months each on my own car and I only used to go with a single layer and saw pretty similar durability. With the GT tyre serum I think the second layer helps to build a base up of the product though so I go with two layers when it's first applied to a tyre and then just a single layer whenever I top it up

I like GO Show Tyres as my gel type one for a flashier look that lasts well over a few weeks similar to car Chem gel by the looks of it.
