I met Ernest Burke in the early 2000s. Nice guy. He signed a baseball for me.

I watched the entire thing Frank! Some I wish I could snag for sure. I’m concerned you will be correct on Vic Harris, for my own wallet’s sake 😅

Yeah, I don't see how he doesn't get through the next ballot, but I felt the same about Bill Dahlen when he missed the ballot by one vote, so we will see.

I have a really cool Luke Easter single signed baseball. He’s in the international hall of fame.

Yes, but I don't think he is Cooperstown worthy.

Great topic! I look for Troupe, Radcliffe and Hilton Smith, along with Paige items due to their stint with the Bismarck Churchills from 1933-35. I believe Troupe was there the longest. Also have a couple letterheads with John Donaldson and I believe Jose Mendez pictured. Signed by LJ Galbreath who worked for JL Wilkinson, as his name is also in the letterhead. Fun stuff.

Thank you! John Donaldson is towards the top of my wantlist. Was able to secure a JL Wilkinson autograph about a decade ago.

Another solid video. I'm the guy that saw you at Detroit Sports Spectacular show in line and we chatted briefly. Keep up the good work

You picked up some rare Negro League autographs. I thought Chet Brewer was going in when they placed so many years ago. That is very kind of you to donate the Newt Joseph to the Negro Hall of Fame. As I told you I have a many beautiful pieces autographed at their reunions in the 80s. Enjoyed your possible future HOF review.

Appreciate it, I need to get to Kansas City, not the easiest place to get to unfortunatly.

Awesome job prospecting. Although I’m not too pleased with the stats and all that mixing into mlb, I’m happy to see history come to light. I just can’t get past thinking, for instance, that the best all time career average in MLB never played a game in the mlb. This is where I like the basketball hof not being the “nba hall of fame” as it can include aba, and others. Let’s hope Vic gets in! Hehe.

Yes, we will be the only 2 here with Vic Willis autographs!

Bill Byrd signed his mail when I was a kid. Anyone paying the money that these are marketed for on eBay are overpaying. Not rare.

I don't believe the statistics should have been integrated with MLB though. The stat keeping was not well done & lots of question marks regarding it. Plus it's totally different competition mixed in with other competition. It's like adding the statistics of the PCL with MLB. It wouldn't make sense.

Couldn't you make the same argument about the Federal League? I think they were being very conservative about what games were included (IE-had to be games against other Negro League teams and not exhibition games).
@dvitoc2 ай бұрын
@@baseballHOFautographs you're right, I agree the Federal League stats should not be included either. I just think that as great as Josh Gibson was, it's ridiculous he now is the all time average leader
