This really resonated with me. I developed hashimotos and it was a whole body approach and treatment for over a year to get the body in order. It was a very difficult time, but I am so glad to be on the other side now. Thank you for making this video.

This describes me well, thanks for sharing this. How would I get a custom plan to get healthier? I'm dealing with hormones out of whack, psoriasis, super slow metabolism (working out with no results), exhausted and fatigued all the time. I'm a single Mom of 3 little ones and need a good nutrition plan specific to me that the kids can enjoy as well... in short I'm a hot mess! Love your podcast (I just found today) and now the KZbin Channel. I feel like I finally found someone with the right expertise and approach to healing and balancing the body. I've been through so much stress and trauma in the past two years my body is crying out for proper nutrition and supplements so I can be my best for my kids.

I'm waiting for test results to come back now. I need answers so I can do just this - get a personalized plan. I lost weight during covid and haven't been able to put it back on. Now I have muscle weakness and muscle loss - a lot of it. I need answers before I wither away completely. Yes, to the ups and downs! I think I'm doing better, then I'm not.

Yay, so happy you are pursuing testing! That's a huge first step

Autoimmune diseases are horrible. I have UCTD and I never feel good. The past four days dealing with fatigue and loss of appetite. It’s frightening because I often wonder if it’s something else like cancer.

my inflammation causes me to lose sleep. I also lost weight after 4 months of just joint and muscle pain. lost about 35-38lbs in about 4-5 months and can't put it back on. I never had a loss of appetite, diarrhea or constipation. my body just seemed to stop absorbing nutrients and it just used the muscle and fat I had for fuel instead of my food. it's been over a year now and I can't even put back on 10lbs eating 3x a day and weight gainer shakes etc. it's really affecting my joints bad especially in my neck and spine. I never had any of this before it suddenly began!

same boat but had constipation . lost almost 46 lb in 10 months and cant stop the weight loss. fat and muscles used for energy

@@inday1453 yeah this sucks big time. I've been managing the pain without too much painkillers. I usually only take an advil or aleve if it's getting really bad at night so I can get a couple hrs of on and of sleep. I know it's do to stress and stomach/poor digestive issues or low stomach acid. but the only thing I can think of is a spinal issues affecting the nerves that supply my digestive organs.

I had a reaction to an antibiotic in 2014. It caused POTS and SFN, along with a loss of 35-40 pounds. I could never put it back on. I'm a male BTW, but it's very frustrating

@@User-q6x3b most likely the antibiotic further damaged ur gut. u have to focus on healing ur gut and u will be able to absorb nutrients properly. u are suffering malabsorption. try making/eating bone broth for a few weeks and take L-Glutamine 5-20grams a day for 30 days.

Hi @Dr.BethWestie You mentioned that if someone woke up at 2:00 in the morning it’s related to the liver. How is that related to the liver? What is going on when this happens? My MIL passed away last year of liver failure and kidney failure. She complained of not being able to sleep for months before her organs began to shut down. I’d like to see that information, could you provide a link specifically to this?

Do you believe in AIP? Or do you think it’s too restrictive?
@DrBethWestie2 жыл бұрын
I believe it definitely has its place. But typically it’s for a very limited time, and then working to reintroduce foods.

What are the bumps called?! I have those too
@CrazyHalo2032 ай бұрын
I don't know what they're called but after about 2 decades of eczema it can be called "weeping eczema" and it's essentially fluid similar to pus. I have found that oddly drinking less water (along with giving my whole digestive system a break) helps a ton.
